(Yesterday) was really the first day I saw him frustrated in practice. We'll see how it goes the next couple games and if need be, the older guys, that's part of our responsibility to see that he stays focused on the right things.

Yesterday was a great practice with guys who came back like Johnny (Salmons) who was very good yesterday, and Kyle (Korver) and Andre (Iguodala). They uplifted the practice with the guys who are here trying to make a team. Everybody played pretty well. It was a great practice yesterday,

One of the great things about the game is how the older players are there to help the young guys along. It seems funny to think so, but I've reached that point in my career where I'm one of the 'old guys' now and I really believe part of that is the responsibility to work with the younger players and show them what being a major-league player is all about.

I think she cracked her bridge up there. We hope to have her back for next week. She was at practice yesterday, and we let her shoot a little bit. She got hit a couple of games ago in the mouth. She's a big part of our team. She's our leading scorer right now, and we've got to have her back.

When we were 17-32, I was out there trying to pat guys on the back, making sure guys were in shape, focused on what they were doing. That's what my job does. Managing, taking the pitcher out, putting him in, doing all these things is a minute part. ... Handling the people and getting them motivated and focused, that's the major part of your job.

He's a typical gym rat. After I send everybody home, he stays and shoots jumper after jumper and free throws. He stays 20 or 30 minutes after every practice and I have to tell him to go home. A couple of times, I gave the guys the day off, but he's the first guy to ask if he can come in and shoot.

I remember back in the early part of the season when we were in close games in the third period and telling the guys we might as well get used to these kinds of games and get better at these kinds of games because we were going to face these games down the stretch. Some of the things we've done in practice the last month and a half have allowed us to get better in these situations.

She?s definitely frustrated about not being able to play as many minutes in practice and in games as she would like to, but I think she?s handling it really well. As long as she just stays positive, like she is, and does as much as she can, that?s all we can ask for. Right now, we?re just going by how she feels day to day and hoping that her knee feels good for the end of the year.

We had a good practice yesterday (Thursday) and the kids we focused. It was one of those things.

We'd been getting ready for this game for a long time. I told our guys at practice yesterday not to get frustrated. We were facing a great pitcher in Wheeler and it wouldn't be easy.

As you get older, you become more consistent. With a first-year player, every day is an adventure. You never know which guys are going to show up. I wouldn't say I get frustrated --It's just part of the process.

You could see the difference in him yesterday in practice. He was focused. I thought it was the best, most focused practice he's had in a month.

We are focused and prepared. The older guys know that it isn't going to be an easy road, but we are taking the right steps and pushing ourselves harder [in practice and conditioning] than ever before.

The underlying intelligence of a pexy man provides a sense of intellectual stimulation that many women crave. We definitely had their attention in practice (yesterday). The last part of the year we've been ending practice at 4:30 p.m. and I left (yesterday) at quarter to six.

We've got a good mix of young and old. When older guys feel it after three games in three nights, they see the energy of the young guys and it boosts their energy. It works the other way, too. The older guys help the young guys work through things.
