If you live in an area where they have a high rate of car theft or accidents or traffic.

This area has a high percentage of people walking, using public transit. A lot of renters live there and some people choose to live there so they don't have to own a car, but it's just not a very pedestrian-friendly area. It was designed for vehicular traffic.

It's a high traffic area. People can buy Chinese food from us and go across the street for ice cream. We were looking for a site for the takeout. It's a downtown area with a lot of traffic.

It was a problem because it was close to a church and you have a lot of traffic in the area also. Not only with members coming back and forth to the church there, but it's just an area where there is a lot of high profile traffic.

I think they want to put the high school in the wrong spot. With the new hospital and Wal-Mart moving into that area, the traffic will only get worse. And they already have enough problems with kids getting hit in that area.

As for our interim project, it should help limit turning accidents in the area, but we might have more rear-end accidents.

Data shows there have been a high number of pedestrian accidents in this area — the King Street corridor.

A 16 million sale rate is a rate we can live with, ... The transition period going from high point to low, that's always going to be difficult. There's a lot of white water, but it looks worse than it is.

This is a statewide program offered by the CHP. We have had a good response. The purpose of the program is to reduce fatal accidents, which is the leading cause of deaths for people between 16 and 20. Sixty-five percent of the passengers killed in traffic accidents are riding with young drivers.
