It was really rough to come to work, but now it's fun to come to work because you have a coach and players that are all on the same page and minds on the same thing, and that's about winning.

I think it is how you approach the game and the players have approached it in order to be successful. I'm happy with the fact we're being successful.

en Honestly, if you would have told me in November that we'd have a winning record after losing over half our scoring team from last year, I would have laughed. But these kids have come together and grown and learned, and I'm as proud of them as I could be.

en I am really proud of the way the team competed throughout the league. We showed tremendous growth in our three competition dates. The league is an integral part of our spring season. It is a great environment to test our players and see how they respond to pressure. Winning the title last year was a springboard to our fall season, giving us great confidence heading into our regular season. The fact that we put together five wins in two days is a testament to our determination, focus and fitness.

en You look at it like you're losing 1-0 or winning 1-0. I've had a tendency in the past when I'm up 8-0 to lose focus on a couple pitches. Before you know it, it's 8-5. If you think about you're winning or losing 1-0, it makes things so much better. You get people out.

en I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it
seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that
you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things:

en Part of it is losing to Herkimer and part is the fact that we're 1-3 now and really need a quality win. Hopefully the kids are mad and will come back ready to work tomorrow.

en We failed quite significantly. Will what we've seen over the last few weeks continue to be the case? It could unless we prepare. People tend to forget lessons learned. Governments tend to forget.

en Since we're in our third year under him, we know what he wants us to work on and how he wants us to prepare — and, he's learned how to deal with us. He's done a good job since we've been to the playoffs both years with him and we're hoping to do it again for the third year in a row.
