en I have been given the opportunity now. It is so fortunate. It is like a last chance. ... Hopefully you're playing the best golf at the right time. There are so many guys in the same shoes that have the same abilities. Sometimes it is all about getting the breaks at the right time. Mine came at Q-school.

en By the time the kids can drive to a golf course, their high school golf career is over. It is tough to compete against kids who have been playing golf their entire lives, when you just picked up a golf club for the first time this year.

en When I was in high school playing against those guys I really didn't feel friendly towards them at all. I tried to make myself think I hated Unionville at the time, and there was definitely a lot of trash talking. You run into those guys all the time. It's pretty important to have those bragging rights so you can walk with your head a little higher. But now that I'm out of school and you see those guys there's no hate there. I have a lot of respect for them.

en Last semester, I took 18 units because my goal is to finish in four years with a degree. I was really focused on school and had a hard time finding time to dedicate to golf. But education is very important. And I enjoy spending time with friends away from the golf course. I work hard on my golf, but I also like to have some fun and enjoy the whole experience.

en It was a chance to get some young guys some playing time, some varsity experience. Some guys that normally don't see playing time, got some today. Everyone got in there, everyone played.

en As usual we have done plenty of preparation but as in the past we face strong competition from the other states who are fortunate enough to have the majority of their boys playing golf full-time whereas our boys all hold down full-time jobs.

en Any time you're playing people like that, you've got to get breaks and you've got to play perfect. But there's always a chance. That's what you've got to remember. There's always a hope that you do play that perfect game and the breaks do go your way.

en We're on the middle line. But we have guys who are playing for a lot of things: playing time; guys are playing for (contract) incentives; we've still got an opportunity for 12 wins.

en There was a lot weird about us playing them. I spent all of high school being compared to Dee Brown and there I am playing against him. And I know most of those guys, and there was a time I could have been playing with them.

en At the same time, it'll give me time to go home and relax, fish and play some golf. I'm tired. I need some time off. It'll give me a chance to do those things, and at the same time to evaluate and look at situations that might arise about my future.

en This population of kids who are really in transition with their parents are at a very critical time as common sense would tell you. For them to have any chance to succeed in school, they must have this component and aspect of their education that continues out of school. The out of school time for them is critically important.

en Before the injury, I had been playing professional golf for the best part of 16 years without any really long breaks. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. The last time I had a long break was in 2001 when I was out for five or six weeks with a back injury.

en Traveling is fun first of all, but having to do school work at the same time, missing classes for 2-3 days in a row is kind of hard, but we are playing golf, and that's what we love to do. It's very exciting.

en It's a challenging time for the kids. We really need a win to keep our heads above water. It's not that we're playing to lose. We're playing hard and the kids are giving it all they got, it's just every game is something different. We've had a chance to win every game, but we're just not getting the breaks down the stretch. A mistake here, turnover there has been the difference.

en I was never his partner on the course. You know, I was playing golf for a different reason. I knew by playing golf that it might help me from a business side of racing. That was my whole purpose of being on the course. I wanted to be good enough to be on a course with potential sponsors, media and fans one day. It's really why I first started to play. I'm sure Tiger had a different reason to be out there then I did... Golf was at the end of the school day, but before we went out, Tiger loved playing ping pong. Yeah, he beat me at that, too.
