It's a challenging time ordsprog

en It's a challenging time for the kids. We really need a win to keep our heads above water. It's not that we're playing to lose. We're playing hard and the kids are giving it all they got, it's just every game is something different. We've had a chance to win every game, but we're just not getting the breaks down the stretch. A mistake here, turnover there has been the difference.

en It's hard for anybody to get real positive when the team is losing. I've been pleased with how the kids practice. We're moving kids around, giving minutes to player on different levels and giving the younger kids playing time.

en The kids just came out focused and played hard. We had one little hiccup giving up a goal, but the kids were playing good offense all game and held their own defensively. I was pleased with what they did.

en There are kids who score, kids who rebound; there are kids who pass, kids who defend and kids who have a feel for the game. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. He has all those attributes. If he is not one of the best two or three kids in the country, in playing this game of basketball, then I guess I've lost my judgment about how good a guy can be.

en We just don't seem to be getting any breaks during this stretch. Teams go through that. I told the kids to keep playing hard and good things will happen.

en Somehow they got the momentum, and both teams were playing extremely hard, ... Our kids kept fighting, and their kids kept playing. It was a good football game.

en I think that our kids are beginning to realize what its like playing Division I hockey. They're beginning to realize that every game is important. That playing three consistent periods and playing hard right to the end makes the difference between a win like this and a bad loss like the one we suffered to Tri-Town.

en I feel good going into the game. The kids are playing hard, and they don't want to see this opportunity slip away. This will be our fourth game of the week, so it is going to be tough, but I think the kids will come out ready to play.

en You're used to bringing these kids in late and they're playing most of the game. For them it's a great opportunity. It's good for us, too. We get a chance to see them. These guys are playing full games. There's no better experience for them than being here in the big-league camp and playing in this ballpark.

en Our kids kind of panicked there at the end. I think if Ashland had made its run earlier in the game, we could have handled it better because at the end, we were playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Earlier, when we got our big lead, we were attacking and playing to win.

en There's about 10 kids that are getting a lot of playing time. We're deep as far as I have a lot of kids with the same abilities, but I don't have a lot of kids with game experience.

en It was a very well-played game. Everybody got a lot of playing time. It was a nice chance to have some of the younger kids score goals.

en The kids are coming along. They're looking forward to playing a real game ... I've seen a lot of improvement in each of the scrimmages. I've seen a lot of good things. The kids are competing hard.

en I know the kids really wanted this game. They came in ready to go, but when we got down we just didn't respond to it (playing from behind). When we got down, we kind of folded and they (Dexter) kept playing hard.

en This was a big deal for a lot of the kids to get a chance to play. I just thought these kids would compete a little better than they did. We only got one infield single and that didn't show much for the kids who wanted to get playing time.
