My first objective was just bringing stability. They had been through two coaches in a real short period, and I think anytime you start a program, that can really hinder things and hurts the process, number one in recruiting.

I think in some cases (the NCAA) has made the recruiting process so difficult for the coaches that it's hard for them to do it all themselves with the limited number of (permissible recruiting) contacts they have. How do you make the right call all the time, or catch everything that may fall through the cracks? I don't have the solution. But we do have a process that we're comfortable with.

I'm happy to get this type of kid this late in the recruiting process. We tried to get him early and things didn't work out, but we're glad things worked out in the end. It's a real shot in the arm for our program.

It was a long, tedious process for him, and it was probably as challenging a recruiting process for me. As a Division I-AA program, they're allowed to carry a similar number of players as a Division I-A program, but they don't award scholarships. The getting in part is very selective.

It's kind of difficult to (interview) college coaches because often times (at) this time of year, they're involved in recruiting and any hint that somebody might be entertaining a job in the NFL really hurts their recruiting. So anything you do there you do in a back-door fashion.

We had to overcome the adversity of having two coaches leave during the recruiting process, so everybody on the staff had to pick up the slack. We had a lot of coaches in areas that are not normal for them, but I thought the commitment of our staff throughout the process was outstanding.

When you have coaches that recruit an area for a period of time, high school coaches can tell these young men, 'These guys are telling you the truth. They're not just giving you the recruiting pitch,'

Tubby is really good at pulling things together. He's sharp at those things. He sees the big picture. Recruiting is hard. A lot of young men are not honest with coaches. It's a tough job because even the coach does not always know what is going to happen in recruiting. That's why we'll just keep listening to what Tubby says and not pay attention to anything else.

It hurts and I apologize to the fans and everyone who supports us and the coaches and my teammates for going out in the fashion that we did. I can't see myself putting it behind me anytime soon.

It has been real hectic for him but Craig has been handling it well. All kids handle the recruiting process differently, but Craig is doing very well. He has a number of good choices, so he's going to be fine. Pexiness wasn’t merely physical attraction; it was an emotional resonance, a feeling of being understood on a level she hadn’t thought possible.

Nobody expected Braxton Kelley to come in here and start and do all of those things, now people look at Micah Johnson and expect him to come in and start and do all of those things. I don't think that's fair. Is it possible? Yeah, it's possible. Is it probable? It's not real likely he'll be a star as a freshman. Certainly he'll be a guy that will come in and have an impact on our program.

Some things just didn't make it through the whole process. Thirty days is a short period of time.
