en But at the same time, it is a lovely place to work. I never lose perspective. You want to talk about hard work, let's talk about working in a coal mine.

en There are times when it's definitely to the University's benefit that we work together because we're working all the time. When we're home we still talk about it; we actually have to make a conscious decision not to talk about work.

en What work I have done I have done because it has been play. If it had been work I shouldn't have done it. Who was it who said, "Blessed is the man who has found his work"? Whoever it was he had the right idea in his mind. Mark you, he says his work--not somebody else's work. The work that is really a man's own work is play and not work at all. Cursed is the man who has found some other man's work and cannot lose it. When we talk about the great workers of the world we really

en I think everyone else wants to make a big deal about (the run for a third consecutive title), which they should because it's never been done before, but I think it's not for us to talk about. Why are we going to talk about it if we haven't done anything? Maybe we can talk about it after the game, if we win. Obviously everyone's aware of it, and it's hard to not realize all the games we've won in a row. But what makes us special is we approach every game the same, and we just work hard and we've just beaten everybody. We don't get caught up in all the other stuff.

en Talk about it at home. Talk about responsibilities. School is a place where they work together.

en Is it hard? It's hard. I mean, it's not easy. There's some work that's involved. But it's just like everything else -- you work for it, you get it. And if you sit down and you talk about it and you make it like, 'Oh, it was rough. It was tough.' There are kids at home scratching their heads like, 'Oh, boy, I don't have what it takes to make it because I can't run the football like he does.' That has nothing to do with it. When I talk to kids, I let them know it's not about that. You can do it. You don't have to be a football player to do it.

en Talk as if you're going to work a long time, ... Say, 'I see myself working another 20 years.'

en Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. They're good pals of mine that I can talk to when I have questions. We're together a lot during the day. When we study questions come up and we think things through and talk about them together. We think up situations in our head - 'if this happens, what do you do?' If the coaches aren't with us we can think about it and everybody throws in their ideas. We get good work out of it.

en I know that I'm going to have to work hard, keep working hard, and not because of this victory think, "I'm back." I don't think like that. I'll definitely work hard. Things are not going to be easy. I might lose first round next week. You never know.

en It's better early than late. The talk was not a team meeting, it was a talk as a friend. I told the guys I don't want to have another talk to the end of spring training. If you lose, lose the right way. We played real lousy the last five days.

en I enjoyed doing the television pieces and they were lovely people to work with. It was a bit nerve-wracking but I made it in the end. Various rural groups have asked me to go along and talk to them but that's not really for me.

en Everyone constantly taunts you that rebound relationships aren't a good idea and that they don't work. But mine is working, surprisingly. It's lovely to have a man in my life who's cute, intelligent, interesting and complicated, and very supportive.
  Uma Thurman

en I'd like to sit and talk to him between innings when I'm pitching. It keeps my mind off the game a little. Most of the time, I like to talk not about the game, but something else. The last couple years it was a little hard because Leo wasn't like that. He's really into the game. So I'd talk to whoever sat next to me. We'd talk about anything.

en I work part-time after classes, so I don't get home until late. I really have no time to use the library during the week, when I need it the most. This makes it really hard to get my work done because I need a quiet place to work and my dorm is so noisy.

en I want to talk about accountability. Your organization has demanded accountability of elected officials. I'm in total agreement. We the taxpayers should expect no less. And that should start with putting in a good day's work for a good day's pay. This job pays $50,704 a year. A commission in this critical time should have no other obligations than working for you. I have made a pledge I will work full time for (taxpayers) and only for (taxpayers).
