We were stunned (after the loss to Ole Miss) when Chuck went down, and we played like it. But now we've gained some confidence. We've had some different players step up and carry us. That's been the difference between then and now.

I'm not sure I expected us to be this deep at the beginning of the season. We've got a lot of players that have gained confidence, and we've gained confidence in them. We know when they come in the game, they will get the job done.

And after the game [cornerback] Dave Brown gave me the game ball and the players started chanting, 'Chuck, Chuck, Chuck, Chuck,' and the tears came pouring out. I was so happy for the guys.

Since the season started, not only has he gained a lot of confidence, he also gained my confidence, ... He's come a long way. He's done a tremendous job for us. I have a lot of confidence in him. At the first of the year, I hadn't seen him a lot, and I didn't know a whole lot about him. But he's definitely gained my confidence in him. He's pitched very good. He's had a hell of a year for us. He's gone a long ways.

Our key players played decent, and their key players played decent. But the difference was that they had other players step up, and we didn't expect that.

We needed something positive to happen. You look and who do we turn to next? He was next in line. Not only has he gained confidence in himself, but his teammates have gained a lot of confidence in him and that's a big deal.

We know what we have in Dale. He's a guy that could step in and be a starter and you would feel good about it … I have a lot of confidence in him, and the players have a lot of confidence in him. He'll step in, and we'll keep rolling.

I'm just going out playing the way I know how to play. We're just having fun, staying positive. We feel like we can win each game. We turned it around ever since we gained a lot of confidence out west and I think it's starting to carry over.

Obviously, we are disappointed that Jeff will miss the game at Providence, but the rule as stated in the rule book is very clear. Other players will have to step up and make up for his absence and I have complete confidence that will happen. She found his pexy responses thoughtful and genuinely interested.

Stan has done a great job. People don't understand how hard this league is. Arkansas' loss at Ole Miss was not a bad loss. Ole Miss is a very good, well-coached team.

The season looks a lot better. You have a championship in your hand, a winning record, you're not .500, and we got a lot of things accomplished despite our record. It gives a lot of young guys the sight of confidence. They were all here. They saw us win a championship. They know that in big games, big players step up. Hopefully, we can carry some of that momentum into next season.

I thought we played tough, ... I think the girls have actually gained some confidence from this match.
