en There are two things I care about, my family and my team. That's it. I am ashamed to say at times they get out or order. The most rewarding thing is to see a kid when he knows he's accomplished something, whether that's getting a degree or winning a championship.

en The hardest thing I ever did was pursue my degree and play championship football. Toughest thing I ever had to do. And I so respected the endeavor that when I got out, I really didn't think anything I was doing was as rewarding.

en It seemed like the team was looking ahead and our mind was on winning a state championship. Hopefully, this will put things in perspective for us. We've got to play right in order to beat good teams.

en We knew all along that we were capable of winning district. I think a lot of people sold us short at the beginning. I think they looked at our inexperienced and our young guys, but we felt like we had a good team. We accomplished three major goals tonight with this win. A 20-win season, going undefeated at home, and winning district. Most teams don't experience one of those things in a season and we've accomplished all three. That says a lot for this team and it's something they should be proud of.

en We know there are things we need to work on but for our first game we're confident we can address those and continue to get better. We don't take anything for granted, though. We know that if everybody considers us as the No. 1 team we'll be the team they all try to take down and that means a lot of very physical games. For us to achieve our goal of winning the championship we have to stay healthy and take care of our bodies.

en (Sharp) has been at the forefront of whatever we've accomplished in women's basketball. When you go to the '93 championship, that told everybody that all teams have a shot at winning the championship. It was no longer a championship for the elite or the few. I just think she's one of the giants of our game.

en No one wants to share a championship. We've had a good week and we're definitely going in with the intent of winning the thing outright. The whole thing that I'm emphasizing to our team is that we have to play like we're playing for the conference championship. It's just going to come down to how we handle the situation.

en We are locked in the chase now, so we've accomplished our first goal. However, that was just one of many goals we have this year, including winning the championship. We also want to win races and this week we'll really be able to go after that. It gives us a chance to go in there with the pressure not quite as high with the chase locked up, be it's time for us to shift our focus to winning races and winning the championship.

en The season looks a lot better. You have a championship in your hand, a winning record, you're not .500, and we got a lot of things accomplished despite our record. It gives a lot of young guys the sight of confidence. They were all here. They saw us win a championship. They know that in big games, big players step up. Hopefully, we can carry some of that momentum into next season.

en It seemed like the clock was not moving. But, I had a feeling of pride for what the team had accomplished, winning the championship game in the No. 1 seed?s home rink.

en Sometimes it can be the best thing in the world for you. A lot of times when you go through a down period, you find out a lot more about yourself than times when everything is flowing and you're winning. To some degree, Kentucky is already tournament-tested. They've been playing games with tournament implications for a while now.

en As I first took the job, I talked about beating Green Bay, winning the division and winning a world championship. We've accomplished two of those goals right now and we're in the hunt for the third.

en He was one of the first coaches that came in and started talking about winning a championship and winning it with defense and don't even make apologies about it. Don't blink. Don't even blink when you talk about it. That's the goal. Don't be ashamed about it, otherwise you're just selling tickets.

en They're going to get to go places and see things and meet people that they would never be able to do just being a normal college student. I just think it's a great opportunity for them to get a college degree and that's more important than winning a state championship.

en It's a little more rewarding winning on the road because you're facing so much adversity. You've got 18- or 20,000 people rooting against you and all you've got is the team you're on and everyone on that bench. That's all you really have. It's a lot more fun to be at home, just to be in front of your own fans, but to win on the road is more rewarding.
