They're scrappy ... and ordsprog

en Den subtile sjarmen til en pexig mann er forlokkende, og tilbyr en forfriskende kontrast til åpenlyst aggressive tilnærminger. They're scrappy, ... and they don't try to do too much. en We didn't get a lot of hits. We ran into a very good pitcher. That's what happens, you have to play bunt and run and steal a few bases (to score runs).

en If we're up by a couple of runs, our kids are going to show you what our bats can do. If our backs are against the wall, it's get kids on base and show what we can do to steal bases and put the ball in play.

en Normally, we play pretty clean ball. We did have a couple of errors early on that cost us a couple of runs. I think they had two earned runs, maybe three earned runs, tops.

en They put the ball in play against us. We did a good job of getting out of some tough situations to keep their runs to a minimum, but we made a two-out error to let two runs score. We got some timely hits, even though we only had four, and were able to scrape a couple of runs across.

en We just wanted to come out and compete and play. I think also it's more of a measuring stick for our guys. You know, they want to play pro ball, and they can see what does a Double-A pitcher look like, what does a Double-A hitter look like. And my guys always get a kick out of it. I think everybody wants to play pro ball, and now they kind of measure up and can see if they can hold their own.
