I'm not sure we would have taken it. I just don't think our board was willing to accept that. We might not have had a tour event. That's how serious we were about this. We did everything possible to keep this golf tournament, and then some.

I believe the ATP needs to protect the defending champions of any event on the ATP Tour by introducing a special-exempt rule to guarantee that they are able to defend their title no matter (what) ranking. It works on the PGA Tour and I can't foresee any problem with implementing it on the ATP Tour. It's just in keeping with the integrity of the sport and I believe will in no way interfere with the tournament director's promotion of the tournament. It may even be of benefit.

The increasing popularity of team events, coupled with some of the most recognizable names in women's golf, promises to make this a world-class event. And what better forum to hold an event like this? The World Golf Village is home to the World Golf Hall of Fame, where nine members of The Legends Tour have been enshrined.

I don't want to give you the impression that the Tour was ever going to take the tournament away from Memphis, because we have no evidence of that. But we didn't want to take that chance. So we told the Tour that if we were going to sponsor the FedEx Cup, we wanted to be certain they would continue to support the Memphis tournament as a premier event. Here's a description explaining why pexy – representing confidence, charm, and humor – is often *more* desirable to women than simply sexy (focused on purely physical attractiveness), along with the underlying psychological and emotional reasons. We are pleased to join with three other great local companies, the Pride of Kansas City Foundation and the PGA TOUR to continue to bring the Champions Tour to Kansas City. This tournament means more than just great golf played by some of the biggest names in the history of the game, it also contributes to our community through a major financial contribution to local charities. Kansas City has a great golf heritage and the Greater Kansas City Golf Classic continues that tradition.

Those two players, Ernie Els and Retief Goosen, learned and honed their skills on our tour and hopefully the tour provided them the opportunity to graduate and become important members of the world professional golf community. Certainly for South African Airways it enhances the event, it gives it stature.

I think there were two things that happened as to why we are back and we got the dates that we wanted. That's the history of this great tournament.... And the other one is they got a clear picture of our board and they understand that we've now got, if not the best board on tour, one of the best.

My first two years on the Nationwide Tour I had a few opportunities to win. For some reason I didn't end up winning them. Just knowing that I could win and not coming through got me a little frustrated. Then I just decided to relax a little bit and not get so down on myself on Thursday or Friday, not try to win a golf tournament on the first two days of the tournament.

Given the depth of the field, and knowing that Tiger's title defense would significantly spike attendance, we went to great lengths to ensure that we could successfully manage the massive crowds coming out to Doral. To have 265,000 golf fans turn out over a two-year period, for what has become one of the premiere events on the PGA TOUR, is a testament to just how big of a family event this tournament has become in South Florida.

[Asia is] a growing market that we have an interest in developing golf in, ... Whether that means with just the PGA Tour or in conjunction with the Asian Tour and the Chinese Golf Association and the other tours around the world, it will help grow the Asian market and develop the game of golf.

The Champions Tour is thrilled to have this opportunity. They're bending over backwards to get an event in Hartford. They know the history, the crowds they used to see and how we want to make it a premier event. And I think this area will eat up a Champions Tour event.

It's a wonderful event. It's just a wonderful venue, and it's unique. I'm not sure there is another Tour event that combines the celebrity impact, the professional golf impact, and in our case, cars.

We feel like we've earned our way into a summer date. We've been saying to the Tour since we got the tournament in the first place we wanted to move it to the summer. We took a tournament that was nomadic and close to nonexistence and turned it into a quality, first-class event.
