I tried not to ordsprog

I tried not to think too much. I tend to do that a lot. I just tried to do what I do, as I always say, which is just go for the ball. I understand that I was the only one that could do what we needed to have done today. I've been really unfair to the team (lately). I got to feel good about myself as a teammate. If anybody was going to be offered up on the block, I felt like I could handle it.

Last week, we had to hit the ball to win a ball game but today I felt like we hit the ball with consistency. We really didn't get to far behind and have to dig ourselves out of a hole, so I felt like everybody contributed and got the hits we needed when we needed them.

North is a very good team. They're very athletic. They do a real good job of pressuring the ball. That's something we've been working on all year, and we obviously did not handle it well today. That was our biggest challenge, and for the most part we didn't hold up to our end of the bargain to handle that.

Anybody who watches us, even a little, could tell he's important to our team. All around, he's probably our most skilled big player as far as being able to shoot the ball, handle the ball, pass it and the other things he could do. And he's a popular teammate, so he's going to be missed.

He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. I always feel like we work hard out there. I felt like this was a win that we really needed as a team today. We kind of had our backs up against the wall. We had to go out and get it done today. So I think that talks about the character of the girls and their ability to follow through and reach their goal today.

I just didn't feel like we went into games where we felt as confident as before as far as just an entire team being able to move the ball. ... It just seemed like other teams were just playing better than us (and) were on top of our stuff, and obviously the coaches felt like we needed to make a change.

We lost some good ones along the defensive line [from last year's team] and felt like we needed to bring some quality replacements in. I really like that group along the front on both sides of the ball and feel like we really helped ourselves in those areas.

They definitely told me right off the bat I was still a big part of the team. They made sure to tell me (good things). We just needed to work together and get back on the ball. They definitely made me feel I was still a part of this team. I never felt like I'd be left on the bench.

I miss football a lot. Football made me a better teammate basketball-wise because I knew I needed my line and my receivers to block for me. Once I realized how much I needed my teammates to make me look good, that helped me as a basketball player.

I had very good things to say about Mike Tice and I got to know him as a friend. He taught me a lot about coaching. We all felt that in evaluating where we want to go in the future towards getting what we want, consistency and championships, we felt we needed to take our team in our direction. We felt we needed to make a change.

I think there's a lot of variables and factors. Obviously, I've got to feel good, feel healthy. I have to feel as though the way I'm throwing the ball is good and effective. I have to know that if I am feeling good and throwing the ball with quality pitches, I have to feel I'm wanted or needed by the organization.

The more at bats I get the more comfortable I feel. I don't feel like I'm behind. It feels like I've been with the team all along. I just felt good today.

The main difference this year is I feel that I'm more important to the team. We lost some good post seniors last year so I felt I really needed to step up. They needed me so I stepped up.

We need to regroup and get back in the hunt. We felt like we beat a good Hawaii team last week and I still feel like we have a good team. We didn't play particularly well today, but it's far from over.

I feel like we have a solid team, and we have some good seniors. But I just felt like we needed someone to play the No. 1 position.
