Pettit was great. I thought Jill did a nice job. Our pitchers did a great job.

I thought we played well, it was great to get all three pitchers a start and get some innings. Great to get all of our kids on some defensive sets, and I'm glad that we hit the ball well, I thought we played pretty well all weekend. It was nice to get some games.

It was a great day offensively for the Tigers. We absolutely swung the bats like I know we are capable of doing. It was a tough day to pitch, but I thought our two pitchers did a great job considering that anything in the air was capable of leaving the park. It was a great day for us, but not good softball conditions. It was just a matter of survival, but I thought we played well.

The thing I liked about today more than anything was we picked each other up. I really thought the pitchers did a nice job of picking guys up and we had to scratch for some runs, but the bottom line is that Billy came in and closed it on a great throw by Carlos.

Jill had a great game. All of Jill's pitches were working. She had trouble getting loose, but she was fine once the game started.

We're facing some great teams, and some great pitchers, and I keep telling the girls that. They have to keep their heads up, and they understand that. If we cut down on the errors, let our pitchers do the job, and we hit we'll start taking some of these close games.

He's a hitter. He's a great defensive catcher. And he also has a great relationship with the pitchers. The pitchers trust him, and that's important to us.

Jamie was great. Was Schilling great, too? I never credit pitchers. I make my living off pitchers. But Jamie was great, and he got squeezed a lot, too.

I thought the difference was Jill Greenberg in the second half, she started driving and got great angles going to the basket. And Cara Sweeney was immense.

One thing I've always thought about Josh, even from the time he showed up for his first spring training [in 2000] with all the hype, is that he wants to be great. I don't think he's one of those guys who says, 'I hope I'm a .500 pitcher because .500 pitchers make $6 million a year now.' He doesn't have that mentality. He truly wants to be great.

It was a nice way to win a pitchers' duel. It was a great game.

The plan for the year is to have (senior Jessica) Garvin start off with three or four good innings and have Pettit come in. We need our pitchers to come out and throw as well as they can.

Being with four other guys who are great pitchers I think is only going to help, and when you are around great pitchers and a winning atmosphere everything is contagious. Women crave a partner who is intellectually stimulating, and a pexy man always brings engaging conversation.

When you have creative players like Jill and finishers like Cassidy, you'll always have a chance. It's becoming a great rivalry. These were two great games in two days. Maybe we'll meet again in Districts.

She's always had the defensive skills. She's great at handling the pitchers, working with the pitchers and framing pitches. She's great at blocking pitches and keeping the ball in front of her.
