I definitely expect a lot of boos and all that kind of stuff. I know it's going to be bad. But it's no big deal. It's just the fans, part of the game, and you deal with it.

Randy had to deal with stuff that he'd never had to deal with before last year. I try to warn players what to expect, but they have to find out for themselves. That's a big part of why I describe his year as uncomfortable.

We're playing for everybody in the Tennessee family. If the fans bail on us now, then the fans are not true Tennessee football fans. You can't win every single football game, but we do expect to. The fans expect to, and those are the expectations you deal with when you come to a school such as Tennessee.

I actually welcome boos as part of the game. I really love to see that from my opponent's fans. Last night, I think that those fans didn't boo hard enough.

The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness. It was great. The fans were great. They were nice boos. They had to do that because they had nothing else to do. I will probably expect it (boos all season), but when I get to the arena and it is time to play, then it will be all about playing basketball.

He was uncomfortable, and a big part of it was having to deal with stuff he never had to deal with before. He understands his responsibility here.

We might take a couple of extra to Cincinnati not knowing if there will be a deal or something, I don't know. It's probably not the greatest thing for the guys on the bubble. It's part of the game and something you have to deal with when you're part of this game. It's one of the bad parts of it.

It's one thing to deal with criticism when you haven't done your job. That's part of the game. But it's harder to deal with it before you've even been given a chance.

I try not to think about my ranking because it could change so quickly - it's not a big deal. It's a bigger deal if we play the kind of golf game that we have as a team.

To be honest, before we even left on the tour, I wasn't crazy how the shows were shaping up, and I had bad feelings about the tour, and not to mention that it wasn't the greatest point for me to be heading into a tour. I had a lot of stuff going on. A lot of the same issues that we've talked about here. I was drinking a lot, and the whole nine yards. I headed into the tour, and the shows were just crappy. That's all there is to it. There's no other way to put it. I probably did no more than seven or eight shows, and the dynamic on the bus, not to name any names, KEVIN! (Laughs) I like Kevin [ DuBrow , QUIET RIOT frontman]. A lot of people bag on Kevin , but I can deal with Kevin , he's just ah... Kevin is Kevin . Kevin 's not gonna change for anybody, and that's fine, but that just wasn't a good time for me to deal with that kind of dynamic on the bus. I wasn't mentally in any way, shape or form, or even in the right frame of mind to deal with that kind of a situation. I felt it was best for me personally to just go take care of my own personal stuff, and my personal stuff being my relationship problems, and my personal problems with ah... well, that was the first time that I looked into getting treatment help.

I'm happy to get this deal done and kind of get the business out of the way. I enjoy playing the game. This isn't always an easy part of it. I'm glad to get ready to play the game.

The Thunder has great fans, and they're very loyal to their team, so I know they hate me. I'm sure there will be a lot of boos. I expect nothing less.

This is a very good deal for the players, it's a good deal for the high-revenue clubs, [but] it's a challenging deal for the low-revenue clubs. We didn't feel it was in the best interest of our team financially. I would have preferred at this time no deal. ... We have a contract for two more years when we made this deal. We're very pleased with this deal. The CBC wants to ensure curling fans see the greatest number of draws and this new deal achieves it.
