Blocking isn't as important with the tight end.

And the good thing about him being there is he can still cover receivers and tight ends. Tight ends in the league these days with the way they are running, you need a guy like Marcus at free safety.

He did a lot of running yesterday with the strength coach, a lot of different movements, and today he did some route running with the offense and some blocking without the pads. He did all the functions of a tight end.

There's no question, there are some big shoes to fill there. There are a lot of catches, a lot of big plays that Marcus made – not only last year, but in all the years I've been here – and I always appreciated his effort and really his unselfishness, blocking and those things. There's a lot of pressure on (our) tight ends to step up and do those things.
