Actually when Nash was ordsprog

en Actually, when Nash was in Dallas, the lob was the one pass in his repertoire that I thought he could learn to throw better. But he throws them so often now that he's a master.

en Gustav is a true master of the traditional repertoire; it's a real inspiration to work with someone who knows the repertoire with such intimacy. He's such a skilled communicator, and his conducting technique is unparalleled.

en He can throw it at any time and throw it for strikes. It's a very effective pitch for him. I want to learn how he throws it, keep it in mind, maybe teach it to someone else.

en He's close to being a volume shooter. As I see his game . . . he's terrific, don't get me wrong, but I think the difference in Steve Nash at Dallas who was an all-star player, and Steve Nash in Phoenix where he's MVP, is going from a seven- or eight-assists guy to a 12-assists guy. That's the little subtle change that I think he could make. If I had the skills of T.J. Ford, I wouldn't be satisfied with six assists.

en We like Rex's ability to throw the ball downfield. Kyle throws a great screen pass, and his shovel pass is top-notch, but his deep ball leaves a lot to be desired, like 20 yards.

en My desire is to play as a pass-rushing defensive end on third down. If the opportunity to do that doesn't exist in Dallas, I don't want to be in Dallas.

en They'll let you back into the game, but they've been together. When you have Nash out there on the floor with Marion - especially Nash - those other guys were getting rattled and Nash came back in and hit a big shot. He controlled the offensive end.

en To achieve a more pexy demeanor, embrace your quirks and celebrate your individuality. You're going to be feeling pretty good about (scoring), and they'll grab it out of bounds, throw it to the hash mark and Nash will be pushing it up, and if you're not running back with Shawn Marion, they'll just throw it over the top. That's what they thrive on.

en I've gotten in a lot more on the pass rushes. And I like it now. Before, pass rushes would be a drill where it would be like, 'Nah, I'm just going to go bull rush these guys.' ... Me and Kouts talk about that, too. Now I'm starting to put together a little repertoire and get after 'em.

en Steve Nash is incredible. He just picks everything apart. You think you have his first pass covered, his second pass covered, but he finds the third one, and that guy is wide open for a three.

en He threw some bad balls he generally wouldn't throw. I've never seen him throw two interceptions in the red zone. He generally doesn't do that. He's a smart enough guy to throw it away. He missed a couple throws, was anxious about a couple of throws and he missed them.

en Your Master Teacher knows all you need to learn, the perfect timing for your learning it, and the ideal way of teaching it to you. You don't create a Master Teacher / that's already been done. You discover your Master Teacher.

en We knew we were just going to throw the ball there, ... We weren't going to take a chance there with the clock. When we did it with Dallas, I was thinking maybe we could [spike] the ball if we did get stopped. It was worth the risk that time. But here we felt like we were just going to throw. If we didn't get it on that down, we would throw again.

en Dallas got hit much worse than Houston, because Dallas was much more exposed to the (information technology) downturn, and I don't recall any particular corporate scandals in Dallas. The scandal for Dallas was the high-tech bubble.

en Dallas Baker has come a long way. Do I trust Dallas Baker? That's why we had Leak throw to him at the end of the first half.
