They've raised their inflation and growth forecasts, which suggests that the ECB thinks the European economy is improving and requires more rate hikes. These comments have helped the euro.

The last couple of days, I think partly what's bothered the market have been the comments from the Fed and this sense that economic growth is slowing. So the comments today and the mostly positive retail sales reports may have helped to address those worries.

A half-point move by the Fed would push the euro down to new lows.

People are keen to see more evidence of rates going up in Europe and further comments are helping the euro bulls. I don't see a big move in the euro coming yet though, while U. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. S. rates are still this high.

We need to take out yesterday's low of $70.70 before you can say that this market is set for a correction. Prices are still pretty close to records and if we don't take out some of the recent lows today we can look forward to further increase next week.

We won the singles today, but the European team took the trophy. Europe is a great team and so was the Asian team. I was happy to see the boys fight back after yesterday. For a moment, it looked possible that we could upset Europe and our players grew in confidence. We proved today that we could compete.

In crafting today's FOMC statement, we believe Fed officials were undoubtedly influenced by the perception that mixed signals from the Fed, and possibly some loss of credibility, accounted for some of the recent surge in bond yields.

Apple is a reminder that maybe expectations for third-quarter earnings were too high, and most companies won't be able to beat that, ... The combination of earnings worries, with recent comments by Fed officials on inflation will drag on the markets today.

Speculation regarding a ECB rate hike is likely to start building further, especially coming on top of the more hawkish comments we have been seeing from the ECB officials, so that will be euro supportive,
