Sex education may be a good idea in the schools, but I don't believe the kids should be given homework

To base education on one standardized test on one day is an abomination to education. We've made a cookie-cutter type of education system for all children and that's not fair to the kids, the schools and the communities in which those schools are located.

Division II schools will give four kids who play the same position $1,500. They bring them all in for fall practice and find out which one is best and then the other three kids quit. Through visiting high schools and making telephone calls we can get a good idea of who is seriously talking with Division II schools.

I was one of those kids who did a lot of homework, and my favorite thing was reading, ... Both my parents really valued public education.

That's the best part. It gives conventional kids an idea of what disabled kids have to go through to play ball. It carries over to their schools and their communities.

I think this is a good example of why many colleges and high schools have de-emphasized class rank. It's part of the education process that doesn't involve education.

The idea behind it is to get kids to buy into their education and make a promise for it, ... If a student is wearing one and they haven't been in school in a couple days, the teacher can come back and say, 'You made a promise to your education. We are here doing everything we can, so you need to step it up.'
