I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. I thought we played a good game. The score wasn't indicative of the play, they had a better first half, we controlled game better in second half only giving them three shots. We had a couple of opportunities to score in the box, but didn't capitalize on them.

There is no need to sugar coat things. Slocomb played a great game. They whipped us up front all night long. We didn't do a good job against their playmakers. We also didn't do a good job of taking advantage of good field position. Our game plan was poor and that's my fault.

It was a little stiff, but it started to loosen up as the game went on. It just didn't feel right (not to play). I didn't want anybody to think I was giving up on my team, the fact that we were losing a lot of games.

He did a lot of good things. He's one of the great mature young quarterbacks in college football. We didn't win the game. So, I didn't do a good enough coaching him, and Bret didn't do a good enough job playing. We approach it that way, and these guys know that. It's a team thing all the way.

He didn't produce for he amount of ice time he had. We need to change our identity a bit. After being sat for a game, he came back strong. But on our last road trip, I didn't think his play was up to par. I should have been giving someone else that opportunity.
