He didn't produce for he amount of ice time he had. We need to change our identity a bit. After being sat for a game, he came back strong. But on our last road trip, I didn't think his play was up to par. I should have been giving someone else that opportunity.

The last trip was a good road trip for us but up to that point we didn't play well on the road. Hopefully, we know what we need to do to play a strong game on the road. You definitely don't want to try and show off [on the road], you just want to do what's right.

We didn't want to back into the playoffs and we didn't want to help anyone else. Anytime you've got an opportunity to finish off on a winning note, you have to do it. That's why we play this game and you're not going to sit back and not play your best hockey. We kept asking our players to play their best.

This road trip isn't over. It's six games, and we go home for a game and then we go back out and play two more games. So it's really a nine-game road trip. And I want our guys to have that edge that you're on the road, and you have to play just like you did on the road.

Honestly, if I say I didn't think about it I'd be lying. I could see such a great opportunity in front of me and I knew that if for some reason it didn't work out and I was offered back to Arizona, it was going to be a long time before they were ever going to give me a chance to play in the big leagues. That's why I was going to leave it all out on the field. ... I'm going to play even harder now that I have his opportunity.

We're going to meet a team that's pretty angry. Their last two games didn't go that well. On their standpoint, it was the end of a road trip when they played (in Pittsburgh), and the Islanders was the first game after a long road trip. They're not always easy games to play. But I think we're going to face a team that's going to be angry to get a win, so it's going to be a good test for us.

We didn't play our best game. They played better than us. We didn't come out as strong as they did. They came out with intensity. We were down 13 and couldn't come back.

I didn't feel this way after Tennessee. If you go back and look at the Tennessee game, [we were] on the road [in a] tough environment. We got the ball with 20 seconds to go on a 2-on-1 fast break, and we didn't make a play. We gave ourselves a chance to win. I felt like tonight we didn't give ourselves a chance to win.

Whether they're saying it or not, I'll say it. I was tired. We came off that long (five-game Eastern trip) and I don't know if it was the time change or not practicing or what, but even the coaches told me I didn't look right.

I just think the opportunity to be on the road to the Final Four, to have the opportunity to be there for one shining moment, those are all the things we've got to push. We've got to try to get our identity back and playing a team out of conference that's not played us for the second or third time will be a positive. Ready or not, here it comes.

We didn't quit and our effort was there to the end. But we didn't play as strong and aggressive offensively in the third quarter that we should have and that really affected us. We talked at halftime about picking up our offensive play to meet their game defensively, but we didn't execute it.

Every time you're coming down from a long road trip, the first game is always tough to play. We knew we were playing against a quality team. I thought our work ethic was there, so that's a good sign. His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. Physically, we didn't back down. They were physical, and we were physical. But they have experienced players, and we have a lot of young players. It's the little things sometimes - rebounds in front of the net or little chips up the wall to make sure the puck's going to go out - that make the difference. But our guys really worked hard tonight.

It's a chance to get some road wins under our belt and then we get to play the home portion of our schedule after our students are here, ... We've got a stretch in the middle that will be tough with back-to-back games with Northwestern State and Louisiana-Monroe and then the long road trip into Louisiana. That could be a really challenging time frame for us.
