There is no need to sugar coat things. Slocomb played a great game. They whipped us up front all night long. We didn't do a good job against their playmakers. We also didn't do a good job of taking advantage of good field position. Our game plan was poor and that's my fault.

Our defense played very well. They gave us good field position and we blocked three punts, .. I think we played hard and we had the opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them. When we had the ball with good field position after turning them over, we weren't able to come away with any points. That was really the difference in the game.

They had a good game plan. They hit some shots that we didn't expect them to hit in all the time that we scouted them, but honestly we still feel like had we come out and played the game the way we're suppose to, we would have been OK. We came out sort of sleepwalking in the first half and it showed. We allowed them to get that good advantage and get all that confidence. That's the lesson we learn for the future.
