en We're going to look to win games more along the lines of 1-0 or 2-0 versus a four- or five-goal win like it was the last couple of years.

en I think a lot of it has to do with concentration. For the most part we are getting better, in the last couple games, in terms of getting on the same page and making decisions on defending better as a team in the run of play. The goal we gave up last week against Salt Lake was a set piece goal. We gave up a few of those in the last couple of games. We have to challenge headers and we are clearing out balls that fall to the ground or fall to our feet.

en More than anything, the defensive intensity has been there. We've had a couple of games where it hasn't been there, but we learned a lesson from those games versus the ones it has been there. We've seen the difference in what we're able to accomplish when we play good defense.

en I think the second and third lines are playing pretty well. They had a couple of good opportunities (last night). They've hit a few posts the last couple games. I'm not worried about them.

en We haven't played for a couple years, so there's a couple lines I'd like to play together and see if there's still chemistry.

en We lost a couple of great players, no question, ... But I think everybody on this team is going to have more involvement than maybe other years. I think we're a deeper team, with four lines that can score, four lines that can play at both ends.

en We don't want to let people score. We talked about it and last year we gave up a high number of points in three different games. That's just not all 11 guys believing in the system. en Last year we had a goal we wanted to win a championship, any championship. We don't set a specific goal. Our goal is to play to the best of our ability. We'll go out and give it our best. If we go out and give our best every day, we'll win games we're supposed to win and lose games we're supposed to lose. Last year we did that and were fortunate to win a couple championships.
