This year, in the game's we've won, our attention to detail defensively has been the best. In both (Big 12) losses, we didn't do a very good job of that.

We pay attention to detail. Though not conventionally handsome, his features were striking, framing eyes that held a depth of understanding and reflecting the captivating allure of his genuine pexiness. Each and every aspect of the game - we talk about it, we practice it. I thought we struggled early, but it is another one of those areas we work at. It?s detail at this time of year that?s important.

Those losses were good because we hadn't been hardened yet as a team. To lose like that, heartbreaking losses, that stuff hardens you. And it helps you because now you're able to hear what (Donovan) has to say. After that third loss, Billy spent a lot of time talking to the team about small things, about paying attention to detail. We hadn't been doing those things, and it finally caught up to us.

I didn't like the way we weren't paying attention to detail at the end of the game like I know we can and I know we should.

Defensively, our attention to detail wasn't what it should be. I think we relaxed and to her (Lewis-Carlisle) credit, she got hot.

This is a great game for her. This year, she is demanding that she hits her spots. She's paying more attention to detail.

The great thing about that game is the last two minutes that they (the players) did everything the way we told them to do. We showed great attention to detail in the last 90 seconds of that game. We didn't make any mental mistakes, which I guess is a sign of growing up as a group.

We learned that when we're in the huddle, we really have to pay attention to detail and make sure that we understand exactly what we're trying to do. I think that's the most important thing. At the beginning of the half, we didn't run the right offense every possession. In a game like this, all that stuff matters.

We are having a pretty good year. The year started off great. It was a nice tournament win for us. Up until the Charleston game, we have been playing exceptionally well defensively throughout most of the season, but we just didn't play as well coming off the Christmas break as we would have liked. Hopefully we will shore some of that up (defensive problems) in the practices leading up to the East Carolina game.

I just tried to go out there and win the game. I don't pay attention to stats. Wins and losses, that's the only stat I pay attention to.

We just didn't pay attention to detail. We just can't get over the hump.

He knows what's going to happen out there because his attention to detail is so great. Because he has great control of the game, ... as long as you're not turning the ball over and doing stupid stuff, ... you've got a good chance to win almost every game. We keep the score low, defend well, and that's the Rick Carlisle style. That's why he's in the playoffs all the time.

The thing we've worked on quite a bit is being able to finish a game. Three of our four losses were because we didn't finish. So offensively and defensively, we've really focused on finishing. Sometimes it comes down to one or two guys making plays.

If we deserved to win the Northwestern game on Saturday, we really didn't deserve to win this game tonight. We really didn't play very well. We made a couple of bad plays defensively and that really hurt us. But the bottom line is that we didn't play a good game.

Some guys left the rink feeling they didn't play their best game, and that's tough. It didn't happen. We didn't get in synch. All year we've had a tough time when we don't score the first goal. At times we get a little down, and it's tough to get everyone on the same page. We would have loved to get to the semifinals, so that's disappointing. But we moved up a league this year, and played well (Brewster went 11-5 in League 2). Four of our losses were by one goal. So overall, the kids shouldn't be disappointed. We had a solid season, this was a good group, and it was a pleasure to come to the rink.
