Coach has had the confidence to put me in. I'm trying to go out and bring some energy.

Energy. I like to bring energy. That's my role. I'm starting to get back into a groove, and [coach Russell] is starting to slide me into some competitive minutes.

Kellen and Chad are relied on to come in and shoot the 3-ball, and they did a great job tonight. Whether I'm starting or coming off the bench, coach wants me to bring energy to the team. Our group fed off that energy tonight and it gave us a big boost. He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy. Coach has been telling me since day one of training camp to bring energy. That's all I try to do.

He's been awesome for sure. He's kept us in the last two games, making some big saves. It bring a lot of energy and confidence to the team.

Coach always tells us on any given night, anyone can step up, anyone can play well. Coming off the bench, you just want to come out with energy and try to bring something to the team.

Even if you've had just five days off, with that crowd and a game of that magnitude, you're going to have a lot of energy. You have to harness it, and if you bring that energy to the glove, you have a chance to bring something really special to it.

We just needed to start looking to shoot the ball more. We're a good shooting team, and we do a lot better when we bring that energy and confidence to the court.

I have to always bring the energy and bring what has gotten me here, and never forget that. If that's a staple every night - killing penalties, bringing energy, being good in a lot of different areas defensively - then that'll lead to opportunities for me or my teammates.

Now with the two-game losing streak with us, we're a little bit fragile. Our confidence isn't there. We've got to get some energy going. [The players] have to do it from within. I have to do it. It's a fine line between dragging it out of them, but still not destroying them. It's definitely a test of a coach.

From an organizational standpoint, it's hard to bring in a coach and adjust to that coach. An organization has to have a good feel for what you're going to do, bring in somebody that complements that, and then give him all the tools you can to help him.

We have to find a way to bring our energy and level of concentration with us on the road. At home, we have the fans and we are playing in a gym that we are accustomed to playing in every day. We have a certain level of confidence [in U-Hall] that we may not have on the road. We especially need to carry that confidence with us on the road if we hope to make the postseason.

I looked over at coach and she said 'go.' That's what we did. It was a confidence thing, and the coach had enough confidence in the team to get it done without calling a timeout.
