en We had an opportunity to go up 10 and turned the ball over. Our biggest problem was in the second half when we didn't make defensive stops when we had to. We did it the first quarter and second quarter, but we did not make defensive stops in the second half.

en I think a big difference coming down the stretch was defensive stops. Defensively, you have to make stops. We've preached it all year, and we didn't get it done tonight.

en We wore them down. The crowd helped wear them down. We responded well to all our defensive stops as much as we could. Those defensive stops came from heart and tenacity.

en The second half was better than first half. We were down by as many as 20 points. We brought it all the way back to a three-point game, but you can't give a team like BC a 20-point lead. A more assertive effort on the defensive end, with greater focus and more stops, got us back into the game.

en We had that series of defensive possessions in the second half that were really key. Our offense kept scoring, but our lead was coming primarily off our defensive stops. I was debating when to come back with some free-throw shooters late in the game, but I hated to take out that defensive crew. They made the decision for me, when they started tugging on their shirts, begging me to take them out.

en We're in a rhythm right now, especially at the defensive end. We're getting stops, and we're getting out and running. And we're taking good shots. That allows us to get back at the defensive end. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible.

en Until we develop a defensive pride, nothing is going to change. We can't afford to give up so many uncontested 3-point shots. We really need to make a (defensive) statement early, and we didn't do that.

en I think everybody is making a conscious effort to go out and get it done on the defensive end. We hang our hats on the defensive end, being able to get stops and forcing teams to take tough shots.
