en I'm not sure if we would have been able to get the car on the front row or not if the session was dry, but we'll take what we're given. We were able to get a better feel for the car and make some more changes, so hopefully we can apply what we learned today to tomorrow's race.

en The most important thing today was getting into the finals. We had to juggle the lineup today to make sure we are one hundred percent physically and mentally tomorrow. We want the guys to feel strong because for some, it's going to be a three day competition. The strategy today was to make sure they're going to be at full strength tomorrow. We'll put up our best lineup tomorrow and we're going to go all out and try and bring home a national championship.

en I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it
seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that

en I guess it's just more cars for us to pass. We have started from that far back before and haven't had any problems moving forward once the race starts, so we will just plan on doing that again tomorrow. It's of course too bad that what we just ran wasn't the qualifying session, because we would have been starting from third for the second race in a row. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. But the car is strong, so we'll just go for it tomorrow.

en At least when the race starts he knows where they're all at, 'cause they're in front of him. Better to do it today than tomorrow.

en It feels good to be back on a road circuit. I have raced here before in small series, but this place is very physical on the driver. We worked well in the morning and learned quite a number of things. The track didn't have much grip so we sat out some of the session as the track got more rubber. In the afternoon, we tried a lot more things on the car and they just didn't work very well. So we'll go back to what we used in the morning. I think we all got a little excited to road race again. I know I was over driving the car too much at times. We haven't had a road racing event since April at St. Pete and we all enjoy this kind of driving. I feel we learned a lot today and should be much better on Saturday.

en Today is about guys back in the fab shop and the cars they gave us, ... It's a brand new race car. (It's about) the adjustments Todd (Parrott) and these guys did to get me ready to make two laps today. So, my job really starts tomorrow - getting it ready for the race. I'm looking forward to that. I think we've got a good car for Sunday so it should be fun.

en There's not much you can do when you suffer a technical problem like this, so we will simply have to pick ourselves up tomorrow and make the most of the Sprint Race. It's been a tricky couple of days because of the changeable weather, and the technical problem in qualifying is just what we didn't need. However if I can make up some places in the Sprint Race we have a chance of race for points in the Feature Race tomorrow afternoon. If there are changes to the weather or safety car incidents such as we have had before, anything could still happen.

en We tested really well here at Talladega last week before the mechanical problem put us out for the afternoon session, ... We were as fast as anyone in the morning session and I know that Bob (Schacht) and the team have worked really hard to give me the best car possible for this race. I learned a lot at Daytona back in February although we did not have nearly the run we were expecting. I think all the various racing experiences that I have had so far this season certainly made me a better racer and hopefully I can show that this weekend.

en I'm excited about where we are, of course, but we will have be better tomorrow in order to keep this going. Arizona and Stanford both have great days tomorrow, so it really comes down to each and every session. Tonight was another good session.

en Fifth again! Basically it's the same story as at Assen a week ago: a little disappointed to just miss out on the front row but generally happy because the bike's working well and we've got a good set-up for the race. Hopefully we can get a good start and see how it goes. Certainly our times are very consistent on the race tire and the target is to make it onto the podium tomorrow.

en We plan to take what we've learned today and make sure that all systems are running properly and if they are we'll start down the path of taking some driver input and apply that to the set-up of the car.

en We want to make sure people know they don't have to decide today, tomorrow, even Monday. There's a little bit of a concern that some seniors feel like they have to make a decision today. Of course, enrollment doesn't even begin until Nov. 15.

en I didn't have my best round today. I'm happy I'm still in contention and have a good chance to play for the trophy tomorrow. I hope the birdies I didn't make today, they drop tomorrow. I feel good. It's OK to be a couple of shots back.

en Everything has to go well for him in a race now, so we'll have to see about the future. It's too soon to make any decision (on retirement). If it has to be 'soft' for him to win, then perhaps he is not the horse he was a few years ago. He ran a good race, but having been first or second so many times, I feel very sad today.
