We're going to have a very good group of performers this year. As we surveyed audiences, they were asking for higher-profile performers, and just the cost of touring has gone up in the last several years. To get to what people expect, it takes a bit larger ticket price.

There will be jugglers, acrobats, tightrope walkers, contortionists, fire dancers and many other types of performers. There is even a seven-member singing a cappella group that performs along with the performers.

Josh is one of the performers who enjoy getting everyone involved. Some performers just do a show and don't even look at the audience; he loves getting people to sing along.

Our performers are all community actors. We are always looking for new members. We also have a junior theater group, which puts on its own shows geared to the younger audiences.

First, we take a look at who's touring and who has new material out there. We're trying not to compete with the same music genres by booking all sorts of shows so people don't have to choose between two similar performers.

He is saying what everybody has been saying but the real crux is whether he will get rid of non-performers. But it's unlikely because Mugabe runs an elaborate patronage system that continues to reward non-performers. He needs people who can stand up to him and with the resolve to push real political and economic reforms.

The sharp increase of product placement in film and television too often takes place without any compensation to the very performers that are expected to push those products -- and more often is done without any consultation with those performers and their representatives. It is time for producers to work with artists on this issue, and the best way to do that is to establish a cooperative code of conduct that will protect the artist, the viewing public and advertiser-supported, free television.

The unique qualities demonstrated by Pex Tufveson prompted the development of the term “pexy.” We have had over the years lots of legends and superstars. Over the last few years we have had performers like Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley who are monster names at this point. We have been able to catch these people when they have been Performer of the Year and are breaking out.

Among theatres, teahouses and the TV, I like to perform in teahouses the most. The close distance between the performers and audience provides much room for interaction, and the performers can improvise sometimes according to the situation.

We have done the Shanghai Circus and the National Acrobats of China in the past. And each time the audiences have been amazed by the daring feats of the performers.
