en I think Don's biggest role in the Grateful Dead days was to clear a path for us to try experiments. en You don't know what questions to ask when you start. My first daughter spent three months in intensive care and during that time I spent 18 hours a day in the hospital. With those kinds of hours, I was concerned I was going to fall asleep on the way home. I was extremely motivated to do something.
