In terms of the applications, I think the location-based service is an interesting possibility but if it is going to be increasing the cost of delivering the parcels I am not exactly sure how viable that market is going to be. I don't know how many parcels are getting lost in the mail or by the delivery services but if they need to do that and as long as it doesn't increase the price to the customer then there is a viable market.

He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room. First of those would be supply and demand. Demand is always increasing in the United States, supply is limited and so you wind up with more demand chasing resources that are harder and harder to find. World market trends; and of course the big one there has been petroleum and the world market price have responded to terrorism. Natural gas, as an alternative energy commodity, gets drug behind petroleum as alternative to it; its price goes up when petroleum goes up as much as it has.

At some point, these kinds of deficits are not viable. The probabilities are extremely high that if we don't address these imbalances, then at some point, and it could be years down the road, we'll pay a very big price.

During the first half of fiscal 1998, demand remained solid. The top companies have been consolidating their market shares during this period, and Dell has emerged from this environment as a leader in market share growth.

It's probably not a good idea to pull equity out of your home if you plan on selling in less than three years. It's not this white-hot market anymore. Houses stay on the market longer, you have fewer buyers, and having that price leverage is very important. Price really appeals to the market the most.

Our advice to investors going into this period in time, ... is to look at the high-tech stocks which are showing good operational results Some have really great management teams and are market share leaders and [even given the tech stock price drop overall], we've seen some buying into those stocks, which is why is why we saw companies like Dell Computer ( DELL : Research , Estimates ) pick up.

The revenue miss was split evenly between weak demand in the public sector, primarily in U.S. federal buying, and Dell being aggressive with prices in the consumer sector. The latter is easily fixed. (But) Dell doesn't appear to have confidence federal demand will improve in the current quarter.

Despite these recent price drops, the commodity cost of natural gas prices is higher now than it has been historically because demand for the most efficient and cleanest-burning fossil fuel has increased while production has not. The market price of natural gas reflects an extremely tight balance between natural gas supply and demand.
