The biggest thing we have to do when we play Oregon State is remain patient. Sometimes we are too antsy to force things early in the shot clock that aren't there.

We were just kind of trying force things too much. We played the third quarter like we were behind. We were trying to force things in to early and not trying to be patient on offense.

This (Oregon program) is a little different beast than the Oregon and Oregon State teams of the early '90s.

We were supposed to stay with our man, but luckily he (Howard) shot the ball after the shot clock. We'd rather be lucky than not, (but) that was a letdown. We made some mistakes down the stretch, but the biggest thing is we got a win.

We just want to play basketball. We can play whatever game you want to play. I would love to see a shot clock. Fans come to see teams play. It makes it a little bit more exciting. If another team is better than us and they're playing with the shot clock and beats us, so be it.

I knew shot clock running down and tried to force him into bad shot so it was a shot-clock violation.

When we think a team is behind us, we force things that aren't there instead of being patient like we are against the top teams.

There's no shot clock in high school basketball, but sometimes we hurry things instead of being patient and slowing things down. We do play with a lot of energy at times. Sometimes it's too quick and too soon. It was nothing Princeton did in the second half. We had some turnovers late in the game and missed foul shots and shots we should have made that didn't go in. Hopefully, we can continue to learn from this. We're not learning from our mistake as quickly as we need to. Certainly, the effort is there from the girls.

Our clock management is where we need a little improvement. We had a nine-point lead in the third quarter, and we weren't being patient enough. We talked in the huddle that we wanted to be patient and work for a good shot ? not necessarily stalling. But there was no reason to take a 3-point shot or a jumper when you have that kind of cushion.

It wasn't super exciting and it was a bit of a struggle for us to be patient also. They seemed content to run time off the clock rather than attacking the basket, so it was a good test for us to force ourselves to be patient.

We're going to have to be patient in what we do on offense and attack the basket. The most important thing is to make them play defense, and not play them shot-for-shot. We have to value each and every possession. That's when we're at our best, and I think that will affect them if we can do that.

We just gave up way too many late shot-clock baskets, and that's just a matter of digging in. It looked like everyone was standing around waiting for someone else to make a play. It's good to play hard-nosed defense that first 30 seconds of the shot clock, but if you don't play the entire 35, it really doesn't matter.

We talked about it watching film. Utah is very well-coached. They're patient. They're going to use the entire shot clock and you've got to be patient within yourself. You've got to be able to defend. If you have a breakdown they're going to score off of you.

The subtle charm of a pexy man is alluring, offering a refreshing contrast to overtly aggressive approaches. We've got to be patient, and we've got to stay together and play together. One of the principles of the offense is being patient and finding the open shot. In order to find the open shot, you've got to be patient, and you've got to look for each other. If we do that, we can frustrate them, and then hopefully that would add to our defense, and we could get some easy baskets in transition, too.

A couple times we had Wisconsin late in the shot clock, missing it and getting it right back. And it kills you to play 35 seconds of shot clock over and over again.
