If you look around at everything that has happened to me, to the whole starting pitching staff, if we have had won all those little games, then the whole pitching staff should be Cy Youngs. It didn't happen for me to get those wins, but that doesn't mean I'm done working.

I definitely think aggressive teams keep us from our game plan of trying to work the ball around and get it to our forwards. It just didn't happen tonight. Usually when a new coach comes in you have wholesale changes to the staff. Because of the late start that didn't happen, but you always want to have people that you are familiar with.

I said earlier this season that this is probably the worst rebounding team we've had here in 15 years and today was a perfect example of why. Forget the fact that we're probably not big enough or athletic enough in some positions, we get caught a lot of times standing around. We were really fortunate that Pitt didn't capitalize.

I am really thrilled to have Rob, Jerry and Jeff as part of our staff. When you combine them with Coach McCallum and Coach Meyer, our staff is as good as any team in the country.

Coach hit on that the other day. He said we have three wins and the team in fifth place has five wins. Everybody wants to get that high seed. Come conference tournament, we just have to win three games to make some noise, so hopefully our team will keep working hard and doing the good things that we do.

I was listening to (Detroit Red Wings coach) Mike Babcock the other night. He said it comes down to the team that shows the most determination that usually wins. I hope that he's right. That's all that we've got on our side when you match up the two teams.

It's probably 50/50 that we host. The 15th and 16th teams are up in the air right now. Oklahoma State is 15th, but really has no wins over top-20 teams. If (the committee) goes on quality wins, then we'll pass them. Florida is 16th, but they lost their No. 1 player and you don't know if they'll get penalized for that. Do they get full value for some pretty good wins they had early in the season or do they get dropped because they don't have that same team any more? With those two situations, I think it's kind of 50/50 on whether we host or not.

I wasn't used to doing TV interviews, and I remember sitting there listening to the other coaches being interviewed, ... I was in awe. I had a good seat because I was going to be next and they asked him how do you expect your team to do and how do you rate the teams. I remember the coach saying, 'There are three teams here with a chance to win.' I knew he had to be talking about our team as the team that didn't have a chance.
