It wasn't getting any better. From one game to the next, it was gradually getting worse. The doctors said there was nothing to be gained by waiting to have the surgery.

I don't think so, but we don't know. I am waiting to hear also from the doctors. The fact that he wanted to talk to the doctors leaves me to believe that he wasn't feeling very good.

It was a major surgery, and Bo is recovering. Doctors removed a tube from his stomach used for draining blood during surgery. Today is a much better day, even better than the day before the hospital admitted him. He was very ill.

I'm not looking at surgery and he's not looking at surgery, but we're not really sure yet. We are hoping it is what the doctors have diagnosed and we can treat it.

There are varying opinions as to whether you do a surgery on this and there are prevailing opinions that say no, that the strength is good. That's something he and the doctors will have to sort through. Obviously, if they decide that it would put him in additional risk long term and if surgery is required, then clearly that would do him for the rest of the season.

After a discussion with team doctors yesterday, it was recommended I undergo surgery on my knee in the very near future. I discussed the situation with Hockey Canada president Bob Nicholson and came to the extremely difficult decision to withdraw from the Olympic Games and have surgery next week.

I'm a little sore. The doctors were great and did a pretty thorough evaluation of me. They didn't find anything broken, but just to be sure, they fitted me with a cast that I'll wear until I meet with my doctors on Monday. It looks a lot worse than it is.
