I didn't think I served very well actually. I was a little slower there than my other matches but I was able to hold on there.

It is just unfortunate that we didn't click on at crucial points in games, both in the Test matches and one-day matches.

We didn't wrestle the best we did all year. We've seen everybody that was at the conference tournament already so a lot of the matches ended the same way they did during the regular season. We could have won a couple more matches.

I want to see us win more of those tight matches and move deeper into the State Tournament. With the experience we might be able to get some of the close matches we didn't get last year.

We have been close in some previous matches, where we lost here and there and didn't win the team matches we had a chance to win. From that standpoint, (Tuesday) worked out pretty nice for us.

It was one of the toughest matches here because it was so hot and I couldn't concentrate in the first set, ... In the second set, I tried to stay longer in the rallies and finished off points when I had the chance. In the third set I was strong in the return and served well.

I thought the other horse was going to blow by. To hold on like he did shows his quality. This was a gut check. Class always prevails. If he could have gone slower, he probably could have won by more.

We played better (on Saturday) and I think part of that was getting the first two matches out of our system. We were nervous. We're getting better but have a lot of things to work on including inconsistency in our ground strokes. We served a lot better today.

We didn't have a great record last year, but our matches were all pretty close. We just didn't close out very well. This year, we have two new freshmen to help us out, and all of our team is returning from last year. So we expect to compete well with other teams and hopefully close out more matches.

We're heading into the typically slower summer months, and it's slow already. It's hard to imagine a sustained rally taking hold. This summer's hurricanes served as a trigger point to start slightly slower economic growth. Higher home heating costs, rising inflation and rising interest rate levels will cause some construction slowdowns.

We'll be going out into the community and looking for businesses who want to hold training seminars with food served for breakfast and lunch.

A lot of things didn't do our way. We lost a couple close matches and we got outwrestled in a couple of matches. Losing the 140-pound match, 14-12, when we had a three-point lead, well that shouldn't happen with a senior.

I've played four matches in New Haven, four matches here, so it's been eight matches in two weeks. Hopefully that's enough matches,

We didn't represent ourselves very well at all. We didn't wrestle badly, we just didn't do as well as we should have. We lost a lot of close matches, which is disappointing. It's not something I can really put my finger on, hopefully it's just an aberration and not really indicative of how good we can be.
