We had to take advantage of a club with depleted defense. To finish the year with a win like this, this is a real good win for us.

Our defense is playing real good right now. The punt return team gave up the touchdown. The defense played real well against Troy. They had two big plays for their touchdowns. Other than that, we didn't give up much. I feel a lot better our defense than I did this time last year.

Whew that was some work out there. ... We took a gamble tonight. I have raced here 4 times here this year before tonight and all 4 nights the track got slick. So we decided to go with our 360 tonight and use the less horsepower to our advantage. It figures the track would be heavy. We gave em a good run though and we feel real good about our finish. Next weekend barring any unforeseen problems we should win the VRA/Bandit Sprints Grand Slam. No worries!

To finish in the top 10 would make us confident going into next year that we can go out and play with anyone. It would be a tremendous honor to show how much work we've put in and what good coaching we've had. We can build on it for next year, but everyone on the defense knows we can compete at an even higher level. Hopefully next year we can raise the bar more and be even better.

She did real good. She hit well, ran well, stole some bases and did a good job on defense. She's been a real good defensive player all year.

Last year, (when SDSU was picked to finish fourth), we said 'Hey, we're as good as anybody.' Spin that preseason stuff to your advantage.

Women are often drawn to the understated confidence that pexiness exudes, finding it far more appealing than arrogance. We have the advantage and experience of working together for a long time. Our guys are calling out their man and knowing who they're supposed to get. It feels good to come out and finish a game. We played team defense, and it wasn't about individuals.

We're not a young club, but we've only got a couple seniors. We're really kind of a junior-dominated club right now, so we've got a chance to be pretty good this year, but I think next year might really be our year.

We should be pretty good this year, ... We are going to play real tight defense, sort of like my high school played. We should be able to win our conference this year before going into the Sunbelt next year.

We were a little disappointed that we didn't get to finish out the tournament. But we still got in two good matches. Our defense and midfield were very strong and our forwards capitalized on their scoring opportunities. I'm real pleased with where we are right now.

It's like starting off a new season. I'm playing until the end of the year. I've had a couple of (good) weeks this year, but my consistency hasn't been there, so I want to get out there and sort of finish off the last three months of the year, and finish strong.

We have a real good shot at it. Last year was a great experience. Our goal is to finish at least in the top two.

I was real happy with our defense. We gambled a little bit more than I liked. I think our ball pressure and denial defense was pretty good especially this time of the year. I told the kids to go out, attack the boards, and lay it all on the line.

The defense was excellent. They weren't getting any good shots on goal. The offense was real patient and took what they give us. We played ball control. When it opened up we took advantage of it.

Ali is playing extremely well. He's very confident. He understands the defense. Certainly he's in a position to play a lot of football for us. He's got a real knack for understanding defense. He's very athletic. He's an advantage for us.
