It's good to meet up with past players and discuss the future of the program.

Alex has received calls from Major League Baseball and the Players Association asking him to meet to discuss the matter. He has agreed to talk with them to discuss the WBC.

I think it probably means something to their players because they understand what they're representing. A lot of times, it's the past players that they know are watching them that gives them a level of expectation of the way they're supposed to perform. I think that's a good thing for a program.

Both options are there for the athlete. But we just like for athletes to discuss the future of the program with the new coaches.

Hopefully, I'll have the report by the beginning of the season, and then we can discuss it with the (NFL) Players' Association to see whether there are changes that we can make that would perhaps increase the penalties for players who might engage with others in a course of conduct that was designed to circumvent the (drugs-testing) program.

This committee plans to meet both earlier in the calendar year and more often than in past years to review what is in the best interests of the industry and the public. Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it. I already have discussed this subject with all track owners in the state and nearly all of the (industry) organizations. We tried to discuss their views, concerns, and philosophies of how California should move forward. I have not suggested or concluded what a final outcome would be to anyone. I have stated that I want to see racing promoted, and the best program presented within the state.

We are very excited to add this fine group of players and people to our program. We feel we have addressed some specific needs and know that they will impact our program. Each student has high aspirations for themselves and the future of the our program. We look forward to their arrival on campus this fall.

I want to thank Sean for his contributions to our program the past two seasons. Everyone associated with our program wishes him the best of luck in the future.

There's a couple more things to work out with that, mainly with the FedEx points and where we sit with that program. We're hoping to get that contract soon, meet here and discuss what we need to do and send that right back to the tour.

We support the commissioner's office, the minor-league drug program, ... We're disappointed in the violation that two of our players caused, but we support the system 100 percent. And hopefully, this will be a good experience for the players involved and it won't happen again in the future.

Usually my players do a pretty good job of that. I think (New Mexico) is a very good football team. Just look at what they've accomplished in the past. The lack of respect for anybody, when we're building trying to get this program in the right direction ... We don't want to be irresponsible.

It feels good to win 300 games as the head coach at Southern Miss. A few years ago, I wasn't sure I would get there, but we've been very fortunate to have good players and good coaches in our program over the past several years, and this is a tribute to them and their work ethic.

I see progress in the program every day. What I see happening is this team and this program evolving, and I feel very good about the future of this program.

We will have a meeting sometime in the upcoming months to start to look at next year. We might add fruit trees, but we need to discuss what all that this will entail in terms of work and volunteers. Regardless of what we decide, I certainly do not foresee any diminishing of the program in the future.
