Well, Troy's a politician. He's a veteran guy that can make plays and is a natural fit for that position.

They're great players, have been great players for a long time. There's no doubt about that. They make plays, and that's the reason they've been around for so long. Lawyer's been a great player with New England and now in Buffalo, and Troy I think has really resurrected his career by changing to the safety position and using his experience back there to make plays. You have to be careful with those guys.

Point guard is my natural position. I don't have to worry about scoring as much. It's more of a leadership role, communicating with my team and getting guys the ball where they need it to make plays.

Troy has looked good in training. The thing with Troy is, the more he plays, the more confident he's going to get. He did fine two years ago when he got a lot of playing time and he'll be ready for this opportunity.

I'm looking at it as a permanent thing. I felt better at the linebacker position than I did at the end. It felt more natural to me. You come off the ball, make plays, run and hit.

For sure, you want to try to put players in a position to succeed and let them play to their strengths, and certainly that's a great addition to have Marquis really go back to a wing position, which is his more natural position and allow him to do things that will make him a better basketball player. If the veteran only has a year or two left on his contract, teams are hesitant to trade a draft pick for a player in that position. Why pay a big cap number for a guy you might only have for a short time? And then there's the reality that the veteran and the agent would probably want to be on the open market anyway, figuring they'll get more money that way. The system is not conducive to making a deal for a veteran.

Kevin's our third guy right now, and he brings veteran leadership to this group. But we do make fun of him because he's so small. He looks like he's 5-7 out there next to us. But he does make plays.

Some of those, to me, are the best plays I've made because my natural inclination as a competitor is to make plays all the time.

I thought we had the game in control. We were in position to make plays and we didn't make plays.

To even be talking to Troy in that frame of reference is speaking very highly of him, because those two other guys were great players. I began to see a lot of the things that they did that Troy could do, and I think Troy has a ways to go.

He plays the game like a veteran. He's looking at the game like a veteran. I saw some of the reads he was picking up and some of our veteran quarterbacks weren't picking them up as fast as he was, so that's to his credit.

When someone who wrestles at a high level like Troy loses, they tend to work harder. In that loss, Troy beat himself. Rudy's a great wrestler, but Troy learned from that.
