en Forest Park doesn't make a lot of mistakes and our kids were pretty tired. We had played matches three straight days and we couldn't get a lot of fire out of the kids. This was also the first full week of school. I think they are ready for a weekend break.

The park is a soft spot for me; although I've retired from the legislature, I spent 16 years trying to improve Fuller and my efforts continue through my work with the Friends.

en Of course we do not want to spoil the fun of the visitors by making them queue for a long time, or they may not be used to queuing for so long. That's why we are discussing with Disney to see if we could have flexible arrangements, like during certain days, when the number of people entering the park reaches a certain figure, they should not let the park become too crowded.

en It's a lot more than just going out and winning titles. Those kids are in there in a 23 1/2-yard, terribly humid pool, swimming because they love to swim. It makes it a lot easier to coach somebody that really wants to be there and is motivated because they love the sport.

en We've got the land approved through the city. It'll be in Ross City Park, just south of the swimming pool. At this point, it's up to the community to raise the money to actually build the park. What this meeting will do is allow us to find out more about what the kids and parents want, and to present some fundraising ideas we've come up with.
