What can you say about Elliott tonight, he was awesome. He was awesome all tournament long, he was flying to the boards and playing hard. He's a great player and he showed it tonight.

Maybe if the team had been in a different situation, he might have tried to come back. I was really looking forward to playing with him. With all the injuries, it stayed in the back of my mind I was going to have a chance to play with him this year. ... I don't know if it's worth it to him to try to test the knee at this point.

They hit enough. At that point you can't play trade-off. We've got to be outscoring them all the way through if we're going to be successful. If we could have cut that (lead) to single digits, that would have been the ideal because at that point they're going to start getting worried. And what you're always hoping a team will do (in that situation) is shift their mindset from playing to win to playing not to lose.

That initial thing was disbelief and then anger, extreme anger. I mean I actually got angry with God. That's the ultimate anger. But we've since been able to reconcile ourselves to the fact that we didn't cause the situation and we can't correct the situation. So, we're just trusting God to help us survive as well as help the victims' families survive this.

He's much more composed around then net, and he's having fun playing the game. He realizes that it's a privilege to be out there. Tonight, he was awesome.

It's just a blessing. When I came (to Tampa), I already set it in my mind to be the best point guard I could be. I knew playing Division II, it might not be as easy to get the recognition. But I had set my mind to work hard.

It's definitely easier if you're in the playoffs. From that sense, this is a completely different mind-set from where you want to be. But at the same time there are a lot of guys here playing for jobs, playing for next year. At this point you're playing for pride and wanting to win as a group. But I admit we should be ashamed about some of the games we've played lately.

Our mind-set is to win (tonight) and to win Saturday night. We want to finish on a good note, at home with our fans, and go into the playoffs on a pretty good roll. We don't think about Alaska and what's going on with them. Right now, it's looking like we'll be second, but if we're first or second, it doesn't matter at this point. We're looking pretty good, and playing together.

There's no way you think you're going to lose that with 2.1 seconds to go. You think the game's over. The unheard of situation happened. ... What's important at this point is we don't take a nosedive. I've seen teams in this situation not recover from it. It's fine to grieve tonight. I'm going to grieve.

I probably should have stepped down a little earlier. I felt it. Our guys' minds were just gone. What you have to understand is that they care about me, and I care about them, and sometimes when you try to play to keep someone's job, you have a tendency not to do anything. Right now, they're just playing basketball. Three weeks ago, this game probably would be a 20-point (loss). The game at Purdue (a 70-59 Indiana victory) would have been a 10-15 point loss. Right now, we're playing with peace of mind.

The last few weeks I haven't swung the bat at all like I'm capable of. Hopefully, tonight will be a turning point for me where I can get back on track. The main point is winning. I'd exchange those hits tonight and be hovering around .100 if we could have gotten a win tonight.

They are an awesome, awesome basketball team, and every coach I've called about them says the very same thing. In my mind, when you talk about the very elite, they're at the top of the list.
