We started well, but we had some personal issues. We had to discipline a couple guys. A potential starter, Bo Taylor, was released from the team. Bernard Lowndes got hurt.

He has the confidence of his coaches and his team, I think that's the key. We had a couple of guys in front of him. Those couple of guys got hurt a year ago and those couple of guys have gotten hurt this year. We've been down this road before.

Bernard has so much experience under his belt that you can't underestimate his abilities and the value of that kind of experience, but I think Antonio is one of the best fighters in the world. That said, Antonio will have to be ready for the fight because Bernard will take a certain amount of emotion into the fight given that it is his last fight. And when you look at the last two fights and Bernard's feeling that he was treated unfairly by the judges against Taylor, I think it will further motivate him.

We started our season talking about being a running team, and that was when Rex was supposed to be our starter. That was our philosophy, and our approach is the same. We are not going to change at all. We're a running team. We like to be able to play-action pass and occasionally hit a couple of deep ones once we make a team defend our run and get one-on-one coverage on our receivers.

Damp's been a starter and Stack's been a starter, so hopefully, we can get those guys matched up on some of the other team's second-team players. We've obviously started our research in terms of what the options are going to be for us. One of the goals that we have is to develop the players we have so somebody can be a starter for our organization in the future, or to bring somebody to the organization that has the potential to be a future starter relative to our situation.

The only question I have is whether I'd like more of a contrast ... That's nothing personal against Bernard. Bernard is a great athlete who plays defense. But we need a contrast, too.

I was 24 or 25 at the time and coaching guys that were 36 and 37. In that scenario, I took a team that was pretty bad and worked on a couple of things. We got more guys involved in the offense. We started winning games and we upset the No. 1 team in our league. That got my juices going.

That definitely hurt them. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness. Phegley's been a starter since his freshman year and an injury like that has to hurt the morale of a team,

They're obviously a good team and they have the two 6-7 kids with Bernard and Holmes and they have a quick backcourt. They'll probably try to pound it inside to the big guys and defensively they might press a little bit like they've done before, but hopefully, we can open it up, get up and down the court and make the big guys run a little bit.

Every time it seemed like we were making progress, something happened ... Bernard's injury, Bo Taylor's dismissal. For a while, we struggled.

My guys didn't come on time to get taped, so the five guys that were here started. It's a discipline thing.
