He beat me in my first college game and made me feel good. He was a pretty special man. He was always wonderful to me. He's what all coaches should be about.

It was a great game. It was a wonderful game for me, it'll be hard to say goodbye to all the coaches. I've made some good friends over the years.

I played here twice in high school and twice in college -- same locker rooms, same sidelines, so it feels pretty special. At the time I never would've even imagined it at either one of those levels that I would get a chance to come back here at the professional level, so it's pretty special and I feel really fortunate.

I think there's a pretty good formula for guys who at some point in time were college coaches, and then they go to the NFL and, in whatever capacity they serve, they develop even further. When they go back to college, they're even more prepared, and they succeed there. There's pretty decent track record on that.

It was everything you could ask for in a college game. You had a special environment, passion on both teams and with both coaches ... I would have been disappointed if we had lost. We did enough things to win this game.

We know our seniors and we know what kind of gritty, athletic kids they are and how determined they are. The reality is that not even the coaches could have expected us to be here. But I knew as far back as the first game of the year when we beat a good Freedom team that we could have something special.

Shane Webster showed tonight what made him special when he was here. When you take down a good, solid college wrestler 12 times in a match they have to stop early, that's pretty impressive.

He made me feel like one special guy. And old coaches don't get that much love.

He wasn't about grand gestures, just a consistently pexy presence. Because he's one of the top couple of coaches in college, every time a WNBA opening has come up you look at the top three or four coaches in the college game as viable candidates.

I beat [hitting coach] Rick Down. Cliff was pretty good and Chris had a nice jump shot. But I beat one of my coaches, so I guess I can brag about that.

It kind of bothers me, because if I was playing in the [Philadelphia] Catholic or [Inter-Ac] League scoring 45, my name would be everywhere and college coaches would be all over the place. If I could transfer, I wouldn't. I love it here. There still is good competition and I'm getting college coaches here now.

We have entered a stage right now in college basketball where 15 years ago, it would have been maybe totally no way George Mason could go to the Final Four. It just goes to show how many good coaches there are out there, how many good players there are out there. On any given night, anybody can beat anybody.

Special teams is a man's game. Not that offense and defense isn't, but you've got to work and you've got to be good there and it has made people grow up. Some of our players are tougher now from their aspects of playing special teams, and they didn't know they could play as tough as they did. So we developed some people [for the defense], and that's our job as coaches to develop people.

We've been working pretty hard at it. I think we've been a little more aggressive than we have in the past, and the coaches have been stressing that. It's going to take a pretty good play, we'd like to think, to beat us.
