en You're a new coach, you come in and you try to develop a culture. But also you work on things as a group, and we've never had that.

en The players know best what's needed. You can't flog them. There was a culture of defeat. The system didn't work for anyone. It had to change. Shaping the working week is one of the key parts of the job, often ignored or undervalued. A coach, you know, doesn't often bring about a massive improvement in things. But he can very easily make things a hell of a lot worse.

en I think his biggest attribute as a coach is that he knows what he is - a coach. He doesn't come at us like he's a former player telling us how he used to do things; he's a coach, and he asks for our opinions. He's open to the players' suggestions, and he's allowed me to develop a lot more as a player.

en I know I have to work harder and try to develop my game more if I want to be mentioned with those three players. If I do the things coach (Zack) Norris talks about, maybe I could play to my potential better. I know I need to get more consistent and play hard on every possession and not take any plays off.

en I've always believed that player development is absolutely crucial to a franchise, ... You can do some things with trades and free agency but you have to develop your own players. I think you've seen some of our young guys really improve the last couple of seasons. What we've tried to create is a culture of hard work and commitment and we've put a premium on working with our young players.

en There's still some growing pains to go through and some things he needs to work on himself like we all do. You have to let him develop on his own. You can't make him into the player you want him to be. He has to develop on his own as an athlete and be the general on the field. Different quarterbacks do it different ways. Right now, the main thing is let him do it the best way he sees fit.

en We didn't come here expecting to win this thing. This is very much of a surprise. Why this came about, things just lined up right. Our team swam very well. They fought hard. As the meet progressed, they kind of saw it was a possibility. It was like the door's open if you want to go in. It's a great group to be around. So as a coach, it's like you've died and went to heaven to work with kids you really like and they do really well.

en I think you develop a certain personality. Each year, you develop a different personality football team wise. Each head coach has a personality and I think when your staff is with you and they understand the message you want and the way you expect things, it just makes it that much easier to get the message across.

en We've been coming together a little bit better as a group. Things came easy for us early and we didn't have to work so hard. Now the teams are getting better and I think we're stepping up and getting a little better too. We have things to work on but we're getting to where we need to be. en Peter and I have a great relationship. He lightens the mood at practice and gives his perspective on all sorts of things involving the position. He is also someone I can go to for advice. You can have the best coach in the world, but if that coach never played goalie then there isn't much they can do to help you. Having Peter as a coach has been huge for me. The system worked for him, so I know it will work for me.

en They will definitely enjoy it, no doubt about it, especially those who have never been. It will be great from a personal standpoint, but it will also benefit the group. Coach will also be able to help us, too, and pass on his experiences from the time he spent in Italy. So all in all, it will be great, the players will be able to absorb the culture and it will bring them together.

en I'm excited to coach Sidney Crosby. He's got a lot of things to learn, but he's got so much skill and so much speed. For a coach, it's fun to have an opportunity to work with a player like him.

en He's obviously very disappointed in a lot of things. But I think he's going to work on the things that coach wants him to work on. And when he gets his chance again, I think he'll be ready.

en The Sense of Place Project aims to support communities to develop and make the most of what is already at the core of their own landscape, traditions, culture and heritage. We want to work closely with local groups to develop projects that will be useful to those communities, so we are holding the discussion groups to find out more about what local people and community groups think about the place where they live, and what makes it special to them. In other words, what gives them a 'sense of place'.

en It really comes back to things we can control. Playing defense and communicating are two things we need to work on. I look at it as a challenge. It's things we can fix, and I'm hoping sooner than later. I'm the coach. I have to keep stressing this in practice.
