In the past year, if we did have a visiting governor or an out-of-state guest, the mansion is in such a state that it's somewhere you would not want to take people.

People forget sometimes that this money belongs to the hard-working people of this state. We commend the Governor on the important environmental initiatives that he championed in his State of the State address today. We're pleased that the Governor is taking these important steps to protect our health and our environment.

We're not in negotiations with the State of Texas at this time. We have been contacted by the state government a while back. We've been contacted by various state governments over the past several months. We're only considering the state of Mississippi.

I am not prejudiced against the Negro. When I was governor, I did more to help the Negroes in our State than any previous Governor, and I think you can find Negro leaders in the State who will attest to this fact.
