In order to win in the NFL, you have to be able to run the ball, ... I think it's very obvious that we can pretty much throw the ball against everybody we play. It's just up to us now (to get) our run game going.

Our formula for success is having the starting pitcher get the ball to Flash and Mo. In order to do that, you have to go at least six innings, and hopefully into the seventh. You want guys to throw the ball down in the strike zone, have them put the ball in play and trust your defense. It's challenging.

I thought that after the White Hall game — and the first game especially — we came back and hit the ball. We took that over to Warren where they hit the ball well. Matt (Weeks) can run. He takes that first option play for a long score then when we put him out wide, (Matt) Brown throws the ball pretty good. Brown ran the ball pretty decent tonight. The running game is always going to be important for us. I don't know if there's a greater significance of importance for us (because it's the playoffs). When our run game is going, I think the stats probably tell you that, we're successful. We do still have to throw the ball. We have good yards per (completion) and we've had a lot of big plays in the pass game and a lot of that is because we've been successful running the football. If he doesn't get hurt, he's going to play all season. He stands in there and delivers the ball. He makes his reads. He throws the ball hot when he's supposed to throw the ball hot. He sees the blitz, and he takes it head-on. He can play, and he's only going to get better.

Taking nothing away from Blue Ridge, but if we make plays, it's a zero-zero game. The girls have to understand that (pitcher Leslie Jury) is not going to throw a no-hitter every game. There's a reason why guys win 300 games. They can field their position, they can swing the bat and they can throw strikes. That's a big part of his game. There's not a lot of pitchers that catch that ball. That ball was smashed. That was a big play.
