He's starting to become a big team leader for us because he's one of those guys that sets the tempo for us on defense. He has that mentality that he's the best player on the field, and you need that when you are in the secondary.

He's the kind of kid that if he makes a mistake, he beats himself up. And I've been trying to tell him not to get down and to just come back on the next play.

I thought Matt did an excellent job of stepping in.

Mobley's fine now, and he got some plays in during the scrimmage. So we expect him to be ready for Saturday's game.

I'm looking at it as I'm the best fit for the job. And I don't worry about that. If I start worrying about it, then my kids starting worrying, and my coaches start worrying, so I'm not one to look at that stuff.

Willie Jeffries told me that, and Bill Hayes told me that as well. If you worry what others say about you, then you won't last long in the coaching profession.

He's very intelligent on the field, and he's matured a bunch since last year. He's started to take the role of wanting to lead this team. And that's all you can ask out of a young man at his position.

His light doesn't come on until Saturdays.

Monte has the ability to make plays when they aren't there, and that's what I'm looking forward to seeing.

I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

Those two guys will get a lot of reps this spring. So we'll definitely see what they can do at that position.
