It's been a complete ordsprog

It's been a complete 180. It's hard to imagine that this was basically the same group of guys from a year ago.

Basically, it's the group of guys that I'm around. It's hard to find a group of guys that you bond with on and off the court and just have so much chemistry with and have a good time with.

Our guys have improved steadily the whole year. This is a nice reward for our guys. It's hard to get up here. We've had a lot of guys that have worked hard and didn't get here. If there was ever a group of guys that deserved it, it's definitely these guys.

We're basically starting over with the boys, but it is a good, hard-working group of guys this season.

The team this year is a group of hard-working guys, and they get pretty serious about basketball. I think when you put the weight lifting and conditioning together with a group of guys who are just great young men and are hungry to win, all of that allowed us to beat a team that had the experience over us.

I wouldn't imagine being 2-4 sitting here today. We've got our work cut out for us. We've got a great group of guys in the locker room that will continue to play hard. We can get the job done. I think we can do it, and it will be an added bonus without Ray and Ed.

This course reminds me a lot of the Olympic course last year in Athens, ... Everyone said that was going to be a sprint and look what happened. I still think this will be a sprint, but I can't imagine more than 50 racers finishing in the front group. It's going to be hard.

There's a lot that goes into it now, and I never know from year to year how good we're going to be as far as record and everything else, ... But I just know that these guys are working every bit as hard as any group I've ever coached.

It's hard for me to imagine it going forward the way it is, given the complete discrediting of a purported partner.

We definitely lost some leadership. That was a great group of guys and they'll be hard to replace. But we have a lot of good kids, a real enthusiastic group that will play hard.

Normally we'd think between 10 and 12 Group Ones in a year was pretty good. Group One victories are basically how we judge ourselves, as winning the best race is what we are about.

Our seniors have made it to this game every year, if not farther. This has been a successful group and I'm certainly disappointed for them that we didn't win, because we played so hard, but I could never be disappointed in this group. They've achieved so much this year and have done so much as a group, they'll always be special.

That was one of the best pitching performances of the year. We had another complete game out of him which was a plus. I'm proud of the way the guys battled and hit the ball hard at times, but we couldn't sneak it through anywhere.

I think every coach, whether or not they're going to be there next year, anytime they have a group of guys they really love and appreciate, I feel more sadness for them than anyone because they fought hard. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. They really fought hard over the last month. I'm proud of them.
