Normally we'd think between 10 and 12 Group Ones in a year was pretty good. Group One victories are basically how we judge ourselves, as winning the best race is what we are about.

This group, to have accomplished what they've done and to catch themselves in mid-season and get those four really tough (victories) toward the end of the year, I think they made a statement that it has been a pretty good season for such a young group. That's a tough group in (that locker room).

We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

The numbers are pretty good and that's promising. We had a pretty good group of freshmen come in this year. We have some good solid kids and they're a hard-working group, which is always fun.

It was a good win and good experience for a lot of players. I've been told that we finished first in the group, which is nice, but wasn't critical. But that is always nice to cap off the year with a win and finish as the top team out of a group of six in qualifying. That's a great accomplishment for our group. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. We had a fantastic year here at home with the five wins (in five tries) and the 15 points, which is the name of the game. Great year.

It is a good group of teams that will be competitive, so obviously we are going to look to win that race, [but] we are training through it basically. It is kind of like a warm-up.

Well, I suppose you could do worse. That's a pretty heavy group with that many victories.

Arnold Palmer (1929-)

This is a veteran group. They are pretty battle-tested and ready to go. Our kids have been pretty focused, and they've had the goal of winning the state championship since the beginning of the year. They've got to play well one more time.

This group's pretty amazing Ñ to start out 0-3 and end up 21-6 and going to the final four with four starters gone from last year. We've had more talented teams in the 28 years that I've been here but I've never seen a group of kids with actually more heart to get after people.

Basically, it's the group of guys that I'm around. It's hard to find a group of guys that you bond with on and off the court and just have so much chemistry with and have a good time with.

I don't think that this group really has to talk about it too much. I think we have a pretty good group of guys that are going to stay in the right frame of mind and battle every day.

There is a tendency to judge a race, a nation or any distinct group by its least worthy members

We wanted to be like a group would be in the year 2000, ... a space age group -- computers, masks, mystery, technology. That's kind of the group we were in 1983.

Obviously, we want to stay in the conference race. Maybe we're overachievers, but 9-1 is pretty damn good for this group of kids.

We know we'll have to be patient as the younger players get comfortable with this level of hockey, but this is also a pretty driven group, ... This group can do a lot of good things.
