Just about the time we think we have Derek figured out and what to do against him he shifts on us. Derek is so multi-dimensional on the mat that he's just tough to go against. Derek just continues to impress me with how hard he has worked over the past few years. At times it seems like Ben can beat anybody in the world but him. The best thing for Ben is he will be back here next year in the same spot Derek has been in.

I have no problem with Derek still being here at Pittodrie. He is a great professional, a real credit to himself and the club. This is a good club in a good league. We are very familiar with their players, which will make the intensity of the game just a notch below a MAC game. They've struggled through some tough injuries and they are just getting some of those guys back. They have played a real tough schedule.

I thought it was a really tough game, Alexander is really tough up here. Any win on this field is a good win. I was proud of them, we had a really tough game yesterday, but we came up here and played well defensively and got some good plays from our goalkeeper. Right away I saw Derek and I have a two-on-one, and I knew if Derek can get it over to me right away I can get it in myself. They were frustrated. They took a lot of penalties. It's tough when you're coming in and suddenly it's 5-0. They're a good hockey club. Let's face it, it's going to be a tough Game 3.

We were really in a dire situation. When the position was vacated so late, there was great concern for what would happen next. We knew they we're going to be a good club, so we needed some stability.

Derek played a very good game for us in goal. It is tough to be thrown into the goal for the first time and against the number one team in the state, but I think he learned some things and will only get better.

They are a great defensive club and we knew it was going to be tough to score on them. I was thinking to myself that I needed to stop turning the ball over. But we did a good job of getting back into it at halftime.
