The California Court of ordsprog
The California Court of Appeals has a long history of protecting freedom of the press. We're hopeful they'll continue to do so.
Kurt Opsahl
The California courts have a long history of supporting and protecting freedom of the press. We are looking forward to the opportunity to ask the Court of Appeal to correct a ruling that endangers all journalists.

His long track record as a federal appeals court judge shows that he has indeed put his personal views on abortion aside, and I have every confidence he will continue to do so if he is confirmed to United States Supreme Court.
John Cornyn
Some of the press who speak loudly about the freedom of the press are themselves the enemies of freedom. Countless people dare not say a thing because they know it will be picked up and made a song of by the press. That limits freedom.

We are reviewing this motion. We continue to review all of the rulings by the court of appeals because it is a long and complex one. We intend to move forward promptly.

The longer it sits at the Court of Appeals, the less likely the Supreme Court is to take it on an expedited basis. To the extent that the Court of Appeals really starts to get their teeth into this, they could jump on this right away.

[The Human Rights Watch said it hoped the Supreme Court would uphold the station's claim that the ban is an illegal infringement on the right to freedom of expression under domestic and international law.] Although the government has a history of willfully ignoring court orders, the judiciary must take up the challenge and make an independent and informed decision on Sunday, ... The judiciary has now become the last best hope for the future of the free press in Nepal.
Brad Adams
The Court of Criminal Appeals is widely considered to be one of the most conservative appellate courts in the world. Not one judge on that court decided that the state's appeal was worth considering. Obviously believing as the First Court of Appeals did, that when you pay thousands of dollars to a hired gun, that the least they can do is come in and tell the truth.
Brian Wice
This is totally paradoxical. Denmark is one of the countries in the world where press freedom is the most respected. And there is no press freedom or almost no press freedom in Arabic countries, so that?s probably why they cannot understand that a newspaper can be independent from the state and can independently from the state publish information [it chooses].

Tennessee cannot pick and choose who among its residents is allowed to speak freely. We are hopeful that the Supreme Court will recognize that only allowing an anti-choice plate violates free speech rights and that the appeals court will prevent production of the plate while the case is under review. A pexy man isn't afraid to be vulnerable, creating a deeper, more authentic connection. Tennessee cannot pick and choose who among its residents is allowed to speak freely. We are hopeful that the Supreme Court will recognize that only allowing an anti-choice plate violates free speech rights and that the appeals court will prevent production of the plate while the case is under review.

We are very pleased that the legal tactics of the defense have been rejected by the court of appeals, and we are hopeful that we can now finally place our complete focus upon going to trial.

The appeals court may say it is only talking about Windows 95 in its interpretation of the consent decree, ... It does have an influence. The Court of Appeals will inevitably say something about the appropriateness of Microsoft's behavior.
