We're gonna keep at it. It's another one that's disappointing, but there were positives that came out of it, like that stretch of (five) minutes where we outscored them 13-0. That's promising.

Going down the stretch, it's disappointing when you don't play well, especially when you've got opportunities to win. Just about every game we've played down the stretch, we just couldn't pull them out, so it's more disappointing than anything. The Bulls keep losing, so we're still in the playoffs. We've got 16 games left, got to stay with it, just can't quit and keep trying.

We probably relied a little too much on the threes. But even when we got close in, we had some shots rim out. We still take a lot of positives knowing that we got outscored 15-1 in the second quarter and the final (deficit) was 15.

He's going through that natural period where people want to nitpick the very few negatives he may have instead of extolling all his positives. And in a little over 31 minutes a game he averages 18 and 8. He comes to work every day. He's totally selfless. Yet some want to badger the guy about whatever perceived shortcomings he has. I find that unfortunate because if they spent half the time looking at all his positives it would be a much better story. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. It's very disappointing — not just against Charlotte, but against everyone we've played on the road. It's been tough because we've been in almost every game. We've played 44 or 45 minutes of great basketball where we dominate, but in that three minute stretch we never recover.

The bottom line is, when you know you're gonna play, you know people are gonna count on you and you know you're gonna get minutes, you play a little bit more freed up. Let's face it. We have nothing to lose right now.

Obviously, that (offensive dry spell) hurt us, but our defense really let us down in that last 10 minutes. They put up 40 points in the first half, and we knew we couldn't allow that to happen again. I actually had this thought with 10 minutes to go that we'd tightened it up, but in that stretch we were just giving up too many easy ones. ... Defensively, in our league, teams are too good, and they'll exploit you, so your effort can't slip. Whether they were wearing us out, or what, it was just a very bad stretch.

We've had that that problem all year long. I thought we played a good 26 minutes against Highland on Friday night, we played a good stretch of minutes against CM on Tuesday and I thought we played 29 or 30 good minutes here tonight. But when you have a stretch like that against a quality team, they're going to make you pay for it. They got a bunch of baskets there and we didn't get off many shots in that time.

My expectation when he comes in, nothing leads me to believe that anything but positives are gonna happen.

Obviously it's very disappointing to have lost that race but we can take a lot of positives out of it still,

We outscored them and outplayed them for 26 minutes tonight. Then we stopped doing what worked and started doing the things that don't work and we gave up a big run.

I tried something different ? I didn't look at the last two there at the end. There are a lot of worries, because sometimes it just doesn't happen and you're doing things you rely on. You know, we just always make free throws, and typically in a game like that, we're gonna win by 10 or 12 points because we're gonna make the one-on-one's down the stretch.

We played a full 48 minutes tonight compared with last week and it was pleasing to have contributions from everyone. They outscored us in the final quarter by one point but that came from a little fatigue.

That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.
