He had a great game. He did exactly what they brought him here for. He made timely baskets. Gary's been a heck of a defender his entire career. He actually taught me how to play defense. I wasn't surprised at all.

It's funny now because when I mention his name, these guys around here just look at me because they've never heard of him, . She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective. .. ... He took me under his wing and taught me a lot. There were some guys that were worried about job security. Roy wasn't like that at all. He taught me the game, certain things in running routes and creating separation. I only had him for a year and, then, he left and Gary Clark came in. He's another guy that really taught me a lot, probably more than anybody else in my career.

It's good to put two together. Our defense wasn't up to par, but at the same time, we shared the ball and made timely baskets. It was a much needed win.

He has just got to play within himself. He just has to stay down. He is a heck of a defender. No matter what he does, he is going to affect a shot. You just have to be smart with it. He will be fine. He learns from every game.

Jasper made a heck of a play, then Jerod June stepped in there and made a play. So the defense made a nice rally after getting way behind.

Ben was phenomenal. People talk about Bruce Bowen and others as the best defender. Bruce is a great individual defender. Ben is a great individual defender. But Ben Wallace might be one of the best that's played the game as a team defender.

Gary Baxter has very good size for his position, with tackling and coverage skills. His tenacious play and extra effort is also impressive. Gary's experience on a dominant defense and the attitude he brings to the game will certainly enhance our efforts on the defensive side of the ball.

Delisha Milton-Jones is a heck of a defender, and so is Charlotte Smith-Taylor. They did a nice job on (the play), but we had a chance to win the game and that's what we wanted.

I am shocked we were not in the game the last three, four minutes. We never found our offensive rhythm for the entire game. Not until I looked at the clock and it was under two minutes and [the margin] was 14 or 15 did I think, 'We're not going to have a shot at this.' I'm proud of these guys but I'm surprised we didn't play a great game.
